[News] Round 2: Ravens Draft DT Timmy Jernigan

That was a shocker, was hoping for Moses but I guess that was a BPA again. We`ll see how this one pans out, still more picks to go so I`ll wait to see who we will get the next few times.

I like our pick just now. Again it's not sexy. But it's vital. If we want our D to rival the Seahawks then we need play makers at EVERY level on the field. We need fierce, strong, relentless D-lineman in the trenches (aka Jernigan, Ngata, Suggs, Dumerville). We need smart instinctive linebackers manning our D in the middle of the field (aka Daryl Smith, Mosley). And we need a solid secondary (aka Jimmy Smith, Webb, Matt Elam). Our D is going to be freaking scary this year, I'm not even joking. Manziel is going to be chopped liver.

I love how all of us on here are kinda shocked, because I'll admit I expected a WR. But because defense is so rooted in Baltimore's culture and DNA. Most of us are accepting of Jernigan and this pick. He's gonna make our D-line scary. And I hate to use this word. But he also adds some swag and energy to our D-line. Look at some of his highlights. He's a crazy man.

Well atleast we will be able to stop the run! Just wont be able to protect Flacco on the right side and wont be able to stop any deep threats lolololololol.

I agree he might be a very good player, but we have so much depth on the defensive line its unreal. I really like the Mosley pick in the first round but we should have gone with M. Moses for this pick and solidified the offensive line.

Sapp was raving about this guy before the second round earlier. It was his favorite remaining d-lineman. I'm not necessarily a Sapp fan, but he knows d-linemen.

Welcome Mr. Jernigan. Great to have you on board. Looking forward to you helping the Ravens continue their tradition of defensive excellence. Play like a Raven!

I guess all that talk about it being time to build the offense was just that - talk - and nothing more.

If we wanted to go defense with our 2nd pick - we could have at least taken a FS and filled a need.

If I'm Kubiak I'm already thinking which teams I want to head to next season - one that will pay some attention to offense at draft time other than scrub picks.

Real talk though. These picks don't fill our needs, but we just got two guys at the top of their positions! So overall still great picks!

I don't get it. We just drafted Brandon Williams, are one of the two going to play DE?

That's what makes me mad about this pick. Its like they're giving up on him already after only one year of play. I know Cody's contract is up soon as is Tyson's but this is a position that could have waited until next year.
