[News] Top Ravens' Options In Round 2

I remember this time last year, people were outraged we didnt get Quttion Patton out of LT in the 2nd round. He lasted all the way until the 4th and the 49ers took him, look how well he did last year, oh wait...

That Mosley pick at 17 was enough for me to consider this a successful draft. That was the definition of a steal. I bet the Dolphins were hoping Ozzie didn't realize Mosley was still on the board.

I like our pick just now. Again it's not sexy. But it's vital. If we want our D to rival the Seahawks then we need play makers at EVERY level on the field. We need fierce, strong, relentless D-lineman in the trenches (aka Jernigan, Ngata, Suggs, Dumerville). We need smart instinctive linebackers manning our D in the middle of the field (aka Daryl Smith, Mosley). And we need a solid secondary (aka Jimmy Smith, Webb, Matt Elam). Our D is going to be freaking scary this year, I'm not even joking. Manziel is going to be chopped liver.

T. Jernigan welcome to the Ravens family. Whos' going to run up the middle on us now?

Who needs to run on us, They are gonna be throwing on us with no proven Safetys, lol.... And then with No offense to Score points Cuz Flacco is Flat on his Tail other teams wont need to score a whole lot against us either

Well, maybe the Ravens are going to be running more of ah hybrid 4-3 scheme this year. With all these linebackers and Dline we have now. He is obviously going to be in competition for Art Jones replacement with Brandon Williams and Lewis-Caprone Moore.

I'm not understanding why people think Canty's position isn't open for compitition.

Oh and let me break your hearts now, there is a good chance we dont take Terrence West or a running back until Saturday, depending on the run of the position of course.

You don't think the team went out and got Kubiak and then didn't allow his input in this draft. There are other irons in the fire besides this draft. After the draft teams are going to re-evaluate their needs and talent.

Terrance West #79? Not 1 RB has come off the board yet! 2-3 are going before West, Hyde from Ohio st, Hill from LSU, Mason from Auburn.. So West could fall to 4th.

Jernigan is a top 50 player in this draft. Perfect pick at #48. Moses will probably still be there at 79, but I am thinking that Eric Winston will be signed as our 2014 RT. We will still get two more quality players tonight. One will be a RB and who knows what else?

Not to mention the value in this pick, easily could have been a first rounder.

Value of Picks Doesnt win you a Superbowl or even get you to the Playoffs. Fulfilling your Needs with Players does

Wow! I prayed that Morgan Moses would fall to the Ravens. I still can't believe we didn't pick him? Pay your quarterback $120 mil and then pass on the opportunity to protect him? Even when you know he was sacked more times than any other quarterback in the league last year? I just don't understand this pick?

Winston is still a option that Gary could reel in if we need him.

Can any one tell me does Rick Wagner stink or is it just that no one has really seen him play? I just dont understand why a lot of fans dont want to give the guy a legitimate shot for the RT spot.

Well being that only 1 team has more rings then us since our inception, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Oh, and to piggyback on that post, if your not counting cheating then no one has more rings.

BPA...sure can be frustrating. Our two picks so far this year are the same positions that we spent 2nd and 3rd round picks on last year. Doesn't exactly seem like a vote of confidence for Arthur Brown or Brandon Williams.

I'm still nervously wondering how the offense is expected to improve from its abysmal performance from last year. Still no clear answer at RT. I'm wondering if moving KO from his comfort zone at Guard to RT might yield the same results as when Oher moved from RT to LT. I just figured more effort would have been put into protecting the team's 120 million dollar investment by now.
