[News] Top Ravens' Options In Round 2

257 posts in this topic

Morgan Moses is a monster!Terrence Brooks is would also be a good pick.

I'd love for it to be Moses, but I just can't see him making it past the first 16 tonight. In my attempts to mock this draft, I never had him available to us mid-second round. I assumed James would still be there and that's a guy I thought would be a legit target for our 2nd rounder, but wow - taken #19 overall.

Many options, but if Moses is there, I think we have to take him -- and pray that one of the versatile FSU safeties are there in the 3rd.

Have to agree with you, there.

I love Moses - super intelligent (UVa grad - Harvard of the South, right?), well-spoken, versatile (the Ravens love linemen who can play multiple positions), and a leader.

What made Matt Birk so special wasn't his size or physicality, it was his brains. We all saw what happened last year when that was missing, and the inability to grasp the complexities of the ZBS is why McKinnie and Oher are gone, and Gino's been replaced.I'll be in heaven if Moses falls to us.

I don't like the idea of moving KO to right tackle . he excels at guard leave him there . I don't get this whole notion of drafting a player who plays one position then moving them to another and when they suck at it no one can figure out why ,,, ie Elam now they want to do it with Ko. 2nd round offensive weapon .

As far as I know, Lee's knee was seriously red-flagged by a good couple of teams - basically the only reason he fell out of the first round.

Eugene Monroe is alum of UVA too. We've already seen the benefits of having two alum from the same school on the field at the same time (Ed Reed & Ray Lewis). Not that Monroe & Moses are All-Pro material, but I think having Moses and Monroe bookend the O Line might pay big dividends.

We've got to get our o-line squared away, don't you think? How far are we going to let that slip? A boat load of o-line guys went in round 1, but I'm glad that Mosley slipped to us at 17, as a result. I wonder if we're going to trade for an o-lineman. Finally, I'd like to get West at RB in round 3 or 4.

If the Ravens Wait and pass on WR&TE past today they will be gone, because all the premier to semi premier weapons will be taken today. Only the project and Arron Mellette types will be left come rnd 4 and later..

With Steve Smith 35 and on a 1-2 year deal max, Daniels injury prone and a 1yr deal, and Torreys needs a extension... Get Latimer, Lee, Landry, Sefarian Jenkins,.. Grab both a WR and&TE with 2nd and 3rd if possible

Then grab of the available OT/Gs with rnd 3 Comp.. Dozier, Yankey, Cyril Richardson, Antonio Richardson etc

First of all, I'm happy that we got the BEST middle linebacker in this class at 17. We are set with 6 solid versite linebackers to share the load. We can rush the passer, stuff the run, and POP any straying TE if they try! Well done Ozzie:) oh yeah and great depth if injuries factor in.

I still can't believe that both bucannon and ward slipped from us! I seriously hope that we grab one of the 2 remaining safeties for real in the second. Brooks and joiner are the last 2 guys on the board that are assured imidiate impact at FS. Let's not wait till theyr both gone. If one is off the board then let's trade up n snatch the other! Please!

WR can wait and as RT and FS are both more important to start the season. There r still 5 or 6 WR we can pick up

Just read that Josh Gordon may face a season-long ban for another failed drug test...

That almost automatically translates to the Browns taking Lee or Latimer at #35...

Hindsight being 20/20, but sure makes them at least second guess not taking Watkins at 4 instead of trading back and getting Gilbert.

If I were Cleveland, I'd do just about everything I could to make this an almost exclusively offensive draft.

Yeah, hindsight is a (self-moderation)  ;) I guess Ozzie wouldn't have picked Kindle if he knew what would follow...

You can't always hit jackpot.

Yeah, saw that Browns news almost slam dunk they will take a WR. Thats why Im saying these guys are going to fast, if Ravens dont swoop one up they will miss out like they did on safeties.

I cant say a bigger YES. We either take a WR NOW or not at all. We need real talent and the Browns are going to be drooling over a couple WR's right now...

Su'a Filo G, gone. Hes off the list

Yea he looks like a solid pick. Didn't think he would reach us anyway by our pick. I think we should go WR though. But you never know. We will see.

Cowboys traded with Skins... Demarcus Lawrence DE to Cowboys. That helps us.

Eh I dont know. That pushes the Skins back right before we pick. And by that time I guarantee some of the best talent on the board is going to be at WR. That means there is a high chance the Skins pick a Wr that we covet right before we're on the clock.

The Browns' draft team begged to differ...

Browns selected Joel Bitonio. Should we be worried?

Bitonio OT to Cleveland. Kind of shocked.

Bitonio. Off the list.

I think it was a wise decision on their part.

We'll see.

Im not worried... There is still a slew of O line we could get who is better then Wagner. Moses, Koundijo,Mewhort,Antonio Richardson,Dakota Dozier, David Yankey, Cyril Richardson.. And some of tjose guys are 3rd and 4th round prospects unless a run on O line continues

Derek Carr to Raiders that helps
