Love his intelligence.

Love his instincts.

LOVE his intangibles.

HATE his injury history.

With that said, welcome to Baltimore, CJ.

Charlie Casserly just chose our pick as his favorite of the first round.

I've seen a ton of high praise for Mosley.

People said the same about Adrian Peterson. There's a difference between freak accidents and being injury prone (bad knees, getting concussed a lot and so on). I think with Mosley it's just freak accidents. His shoulder is not gonna impact his play at all nor is it something that could cut his career short. Ray Lewis had crazy shoulder issues late in his career and it didn't affect his play at all. He kept wearing this extra shoulder pad connected to his arm. I wouldn't worry about Mosley's injury history.

I haven't seen a single analysts, expert, writer, etc. that does not love this pick. I keep seeing "A" grades across the board for this pick. I think it's just our fans that don't like the pick

WalterFootball gave us a C, which means it must have been a great pick.

Just looked at his grades. Plenty of them are higher than they should.

I thought as highly of the Manziel A+ as I did Skip Bayless's comment that he was be the biggest steal of all time.

WF's a fun site to read (love the comments in particular), but it pays to take it with a pinch of salt.

Wasn't expecting this pick but I believe it was a good one. I think he'll start next to Smith this year and then we'll start Brown when Smith is gone. Cj and Arthur could be a Willis-Bowman type of combo in a few years imo

Yeah I am seeing a lot of people whose opinions I respect who really like the pick. My only concern over Mosley is that it isn't a huge need but now we can let either Mosley or Brown develop and when Smith goes, we are set.

isn't his latest injury the same one that put and end to ed reeds ability to tackle.

It might turn out to be good for Arthur Brown in the long run. With us picking CJ, he might have a little chip on his shoulder. Could work even harder this offseason to try and force his way on the field as much as possible. That's the best case scenerio.

We'll be able to defend this trend of bigger TE's, and 2 set TE's that's becoming more popular & valuable in the league.

Wise when dealing with Cameron,Miller,Gresham and Eifert twice a year. Also potentially having Gronk & Julius Thomas in the playoffs. We won't have to rely on Elam and his size to do it alone or suffer as much on his limitations. Same for whoever is playing next to Elam. He also gives us more flexibility on defense when we switch fronts.

Also Mosley is probably our best run stopper already between the ILB's. I'm warming up to the pick after watching some more games of his. I'm just appreciating the good things he'll bring instead of focusing on anything else.

Hmm, the body of a 33 year old who had tirelessly debated retirement because his body was much more beat up than just his shoulder or a 21 year old who has had one "serious" injury…. Didn't Aldon Smith play with a torn labrum in his shoulder?

Edit: Yes, he did. Two months, and it really didn't slow him down too much (it was more Justin Smith being out).

What makes you say that? All I was able to gather up is that it was a shoulder injury with CJ. Ed Reed had plenty issues with his neck, for a long time. Similar to Peyton I think. If CJ had the same injury as Ed Reed there is no way he would have been drafted, let alone in the 1st round.

Reed had some crazy nerve impingement going into his neck.  Doctors said if he was hit or hit the wrong way there was a change for paralysis.  Mosley just had a torn labrum.  An extremely minor procedure, especially for a LB.

My only question is where is Art Brown in all of this? Is he going to be the thumper? I met Art Brown last night and he looked little.

He'll play nickel and dime as he develops more

I could be wrong but I believe if the FO were that sold on Brown, they would not have selected Mosley at 17. Either that or they just believe CJ will be that much better than Brown.

So a waste of a second round pick is what we are getting at here? Keenan Allen is all I have to say....

Wouldn't say wasted though. Having all three allows for more 4-3 fronts, gives us a promising tandem down the line with Brown/Mosley, and helps ensure we won't have to see Josh Bynes as much. Lol

Art never was a thumper. My guess is he'll sit and learn and at some point maybe in like 2 years take over for Daryl.

I wanted Keenan Allen anyway, but no, it's not a waste because Daryl Smith is not getting younger

Don't forget the live press conference in a few minutes. You can click on RavensDraftCentral at the top of the page to get to it. It'll also be on the app.

I still don't like the pick, but he's a very good player. I'm praying he stays healthy.

I want to see a lot more 4-3 looks with our LB corps and questionable DL depth.

Listening to the press conference right now. They're saying CJ can play inside and outside, he will find his way on to the field somehow otherwise we wouldn't have drafted him in round 1.

Wouldn't be a shock to see another LB go the Ellerbe route. That would have Art peaking right before he's a Free Agent lol, typical.

My guess is Daryl gets cut after this season.
