Welcome to bmore, CJ. My immediate reaction was terrible, but now that i think about it for a couple of hours, it might not be that bad. Oz said the trade couldn't happen, Clinton Dix has his own concerns, and Ward might be there for us tomorrow. Everything will be clearer tomorrow.

I really can't wait to see Mosley and Brown for us here in a couple years together, they could make a really good tandem together

Welcome to the Ravens CJ!

I'm not unhappy with Mosley, I think he'll turn out to be a great player for us. I just think we needed a safety.

Oh well -

I'm going to be honest, when I first heard his name announced I was very displeased and wondered what was our FO thinking. Now after re-watching his tapes and looking at our situation at linebacker, I really like this pick. So welcome CJ and remember to always play like a Raven!

Loved to hear Mosley say he models his game after Luke Keuchly. Yeah, it's high praise, but that's who he reminds me of. He can get sideline to sideline in a hurry, and he plays with great instincts and anticipation. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he's starting next to Daryl Smith this fall.

If this pick was a year ago after Ray Lewis retired....Baltimore would have exploded.

I think some would have been a lot happier if we hadn't drafted Arthur Brown in the 2nd last year as well. But to me, Mosley was too good to pass up, especially considering who was left on the board at 17.

Interesting pick... Mosley is an amazing player and I think he will be a great player for us, but I was so surprised! I kind of wish it would've been someone else but no doubt he will be a great player for us for years.

Welcome to the Ravens.  You are joining a proud franchise that had the best of the best at your position.  Do yourself, the city, and the team proud.

I'm slightly concerned about his smallish frame, but you can't say he doesn't hit like a truck. He plays a lot bigger than he is.

Mosley has instincts through the roof and hits hard without having to launch himself. He's got Patrick Willis written all over him. Intelligence, leadership, production. He's a 3-down player at a position that is too undervalued. The Ravens got a true impact player.

I see more 4-3 fronts in our future. Will allow us to utilize our three good coverage linebackers. After Smith hangs it up, Brown/Mosley will be an awesome ILB tandem.

I'll believe DeCosta when he said he would have been the pick if we were picking 10th. They had him rated that high. I thought for sure we would have taken Zach Martin if Dallas hadn't taken him. DeCosta's comments make me feel better about that.

On a side note, apparently Dallas was going to take the LB that the Steelers drafted right before them.

Definitely. I don't see it as a full time switch yet, but it could be a transition. With Ngata and Canty decisions coming next year, we could decide to move to more true 4-3 DL and it allows us to build some depth at LB as well.

Lewan, Beckham, Martin, Ebron.  DeCosta said we would have taken Mosley over all of them.  That says a ton about how our front office views this guy.

I truly believe Ozzie went BPA. I'm sure some of the players Ozzie coveted were taken(Zack Martin). Welcome To Baltimore CJ.

Agreed. A year ago everyone would be ecstatic.

It's the only way this pick can be justified.

Wow. Watching Ozzie and Steve listen to Ray speak about Mosley made me feel some sort of way. Awesome.
