Very excited for Mosley. He's a better prospect than any of those 2 safety's, and definitely better than any WR remaining. If Arthur Brown is able to improve then we might have a great LB tandem for the future, kinda like Willis and Bowman(hopefully).

I understand the idea of having a good FS over bpa but does everyone who doesn't like the pick honestly think the Ravens would have started two inexperienced safeties in the backfield? Elam would have darn near have to learn another position all over again. Yes he was natural FS, but playing in the Nfl is a big step up as evidenced by Jimmy smith's struggles. He got burned because of inexperience on the Nfl level. I would have preferred a lineman myself but cj was available, bpa, and someone who is a better plug and play player than any new fs with the current personnel.

wasted move. not the best player available, injury concerns, you take a player when we are 4 deep at the position, this was a complete waste. bama defenders rarely pan out. pick 17 was a chance to take an impact player, now our best case scenario is that he works out and we wasted a 2nd rounder last year on brown. either way we wasted a top pick. unbelievable

I couldn't have said it any better.

Doesn't make sense not to grab a top shelf FS. We already have Brown. I guess this means they don't think he's ready.

No, it means Mosley was the best player available at pick 17.

I do not understand all the hate for picking this guy. ILB is a position where we were getting thin. Time will prove out that this guy is worth the a first round pick.

If anybody is happy about this pick I don't even know what to say. I am honestly nothing but disappointed with this first-round selection. We are not going to make it to the playoffs with darian nobody at FS. There is a giant void in our backfield that needs to be filled. You can try to justify picking an inside linebacker all you want but it is not a position of need. I understand Baltimores mentality, and I respect it; "pick the best man available." But when you have a legitimate position of need you cannot simply ignore it. Picking the best man available is for teams who do not absolutley need a FS.

OK, so far it turned out that Ozzie:

- is too cheap (to trade)

- is dumb

- wasted the pick

- made a pick that doesn't make sense

etc...

Is Bisciotti a complete moron? Insisting on Ozzie when we got all these guys who know so much better - from their couches?

If Johnny Boy does become good, the Ravens organization should request a division realignment!

Other words welcome CJ!!

Funny. Usually the picks everyone love, the player often fails to produce. And picks that aren't as sexy and people hate, those players tend to turn into HOF All-pro caliber players. I'm not making any claims just a funny observation.

Manziel in the afc north is like putting a rat in a bottle of rat poison. He'll definitely take one heck of a beatin each week.

I agree with you! Did everyone really not expect this?  All our moves and all the Staff for the Ravens have said this offseason was to make it so we could draft best player available.  CJ Was highest ranked player on the board over the safeties and CB.  Now we have 3 really good linebackers for this upcoming season.  Im just as happy with Jimmy ward or Buchanon as i am for Pryor or Clinton-dix.

Just two notes from Mosley's draft profile video:

- work ethic off the charts

- intense film study

So, a first-round pick Ravens linebacker who's a workout maniac and studies a huge lot of film.

Sounds familiar? ;)

Ozzie has a plan.  Dont know why ppl are upset about this.  When this guy becomes a probowler everyone will be "trust in Ozzie" all over again.

If Manziel starts, he`ll be facing the Steelers, Saints and Ravens first three games. Ravens and Steelers 3 times in first 5 games. That kid better run fast cause we are gonna be gunning after Johnny football. I bet he won't be waving the dollar and autographs signs by time Ravens are done with him. Am so happy the Browns got him, gonna be fun watching those games.

You do realize that Baltimore has NOT drafted a PRO BOWL Player in the Last 5 Years going on the last 6... So there3 is something to be said about what has happened to the Ravens Drafting process. They do make Mistakes, Dont Keep thinking that Ozzie is Perfect, Take a Look at Terrence Cody, Take a Look at our last OLB from Alabama hell its hard to remember his name, but i can tell ya we traded out of the 1st round and were able to pick him up in the 2nd round 2 years ago, Wanna Guess?? Cuz he is on his way to becoming a Bust too. You really need to stop putting Ozzie up on a Pedestal, cuz he really hasnt done a whole lot lately if you look closely. OK HATERS NEG ME FOR SPEAKING THE TRUTH NOW, LOL

Picking an ILB in the middle of the first round is a little rich. Mosley basically needs to play like a Patrick Willis or Luke Kuechly to warrant that selection. Personally, I think Alabama players are more products of the Saban system and turn out to be average in the NFL, but I do hope he proves me wrong now that he is a Raven. Good luck CJ.
