Some of you guys are hilarious preaching BPA before the draft and then get mad when we actually take the BPA lol

Same thought. Honestly...haha/Pryor over Mosley?

Please think before talking folks!

Hate the pick. Haha was right there. And now Jimmie Ward is gone. Would have preferred Ward at 17 rather than Mosley.

He was BPA. Was hoping Fuller would fall further. He was better than HA HA and Pryor, IMO. Dennard or Cooks would of been interesting.

ward off the boards at 30, and I was PRAYING for ozzie to trade up to NE or SF and take ward, and boom, SF takes him. so, what in the hell are we gonna do about safety now???

I understandmosley may have been your BPA, but FS is such a ridiculously big need for us, that I just don't see how we passed up both of the safeties. where else are we gonna address this? pick up a scrub or washed up vet who gets cut after training camp so he can come in and be a liability? I know Terrence brooks wont be ozzies BPA in the 2nd, and he wont be there in the 3rd, so we either trust darian stewart(which I don't) or we go with elam at FS again and waste his talent.

Most people considered Mosely a top 10 talent in this draft, maybe not of great value considering his position is being diminished, but still a top 10 talent.  So I could easily see how he was BPA when it came to pick 17.  I just hate it because so many analysts pegged the pick and I love it when some of those guys are proven totally wrong.

Was it the sexy pick? No

Was is the BPA? Maybe

Is it the right pick? Only time will tell

I do agree intellectually, BUT man my gut is sick. I am less than pleased from a draft value standpoint/position need for this team. Not saying that I loved Dix at 17 either, but I would have felt a heck of a lot happier with Martin, though as you say only time will tell.

I think my pissism is compounded by the fact that Cleveland manipulated themselves quite well in this first round, addressing needs with some stellar potential.

But again only time will tell, and I hope I look back on my grumpiness with a chuckle in a few years.

Great pick I think we will have dynamic LBing duo for years to come. Mosely was the BPA and I think is a better prospect than Luke Kechkly from Carolina coming out of Boston College. PPl dnt worry Arthur Brown will be on the field more snaps this year, but the value was just to high to pass up in my opinion.

Surprisingly with my love affair for Brown and Beckham Jr I'm not mad at this pick. I think Mosley signifies that we may very well be switching to a 4-3 more than a 3-4 like the past. I'm okay with this. I just want Marqise Lee! Please, God, let it happen!

on the bright side, marquise lee has officially slipped to the 2nd round. I would be high as a kite to think he would slip anywhere near our pick, but maybe if he slides a little too far then ozzie pulls the trigger?or on latimer? or maybe we just hold tight and reach for Terrence brooks, or we hope that moses falls to us, or we get the steal of the draft in Jordan Matthews if he falls that far.

although if we ignore WR in the 2nd, and Jarvis landry is there in the 3rd, I would boycott the season if we passed on him.

ozzie must be going senile, I have never doubted ozzie until now. im even madder then I was when we passed on hakeem nicks for Michael oher. ive vocally been against drafting HHCD, but jesus the guy was expected to go at 13 AT THE LATEST, and he slides all the way to 17, clearly the BPA, better value than mosley, and fills the biggest glaring need on our roster, there is literally no bigger hole on our roster than FS, on the other hand, we traded up in the 2nd for Arthur brown just a year ago, signed daryl smith to a long term contract, and ILB is practically locked up. I am LIVID about this pick right now. worst pick since kyle boller, and this is only the 2nd time since I started following the draft in 06 that I have been mad about any of our picks, I generally believe every pick ozzie makes is a smart one in some way, whether or not it is the player I "like", but this seems like a completely idiotic pick to me. neg away.

Ozzie and Decosta had Cj Mosely quite high on their big board...most likely at number 1 and obviously higher than ClintonDix. BPA is BPA and Ozzie should have that mantra tattooed on his chest by now.

If this pick was last year everyone in the state of Maryland would be doing backflips and jumping for joy. We left last years draft with a so-so project MLB in Arthur Brown in what was a weak ILB draft class. The fact that we could come in here and finally solidify that position for the future is definitely not a bad way to go. Really the only knocks on Mosely are injury concerns and athleticism questions, he is a very talented MLB who we will most likely get some good use out of this year.

Hopefully we get brooks in the second or elam will be playing FS again. I just don't understand why we did get a S in the first, Pryor and Elam we have been amazing, i would of been fine with haha. I don't hate the pick I jus don't think we really need a linebacker this early,  unless he turns out to be a Luke kuechly or a Bowman. But i'm hoping he can play like he's nfl comparison Lavonte David, now that would be nice

Is everybody upset that we took Mosley in the First round this year or that we took A. Brown in the second last year?  Just think about it for a second because by looking at Moselys game tape, he's a complete monster and tackling machine.  Love the Pick, hate the Brown pick last year.

At some point Ozzie needs to find Flacco some help, but the lack of quality safeties is concerning. They just all started flying off the board fast after we made our choice.

I agree 100 percent udfa aren't going to cut it year in and year out . I hope we do but I'm not holding my breath . I just knew we were going to grab a plug and player receiver, one who can go over 1000 yards and catch a 100 balls a season .when they called ANOTHER lb I was stunned.

The amount of negativity in this thread is ridiculous.

Mosley is a beast, not to mention he is a natural born leader and incredibly smart.  Give him a few years and he'll be the leader of our defense.

I watched  Ray Lewis on ESPN as the Ravens picked CJ Mosley. I agree with Ray and Ozzie, they like the pick and so do I.

I should be shocked, but I'm not.  Our selection is par for the course in regard to Oz's recent draft decisions.  You gotta be kidding us right?  Mosley is not going to make anyone forget Ray Lewis.  Maybe you can't get an impact player at 17 anymore? (Though Ray went at 26!)

Does anyone really believe this Mosley with his slight upper body and history of missing games is a bona fide impact player?  Did Oz watch the tapes?

This, once again is Incredulous.

Can Oz at least take his "Board" and take a private seat away from the action for the rest of this draft.........

Please

Agreed

I think everybody is severely underestimating how good Mosley is.

Go watch some tape. Ravens wanted an impact player at 17; well they just got one.

What tapes were you watching?  For crying out loud!

lol....this is the first hig IQ player we have picked in a while.

I was horrified by the elam pick last year

IM actualy pretty happy with this pick. The guy is a football player. Dare i say it, he reminds me of a young Daryl smith in college.

We took BPA

I have him higher then HA HA and Pryor.

Just Get a saftey in the 2nd. Maybe trade up for ward. A DE and WR in the 3rd. RB and TE in 4th.

Call it a day

BPA.....really?...............All the more proof that this game has passed Ozzie by.

There is still Safety talent available:

Dion Bailey

Terrence Brooks

Ed Reynolds

I'm not worried about Safety with those guys still out there.

And really Mosely is head and shoulders the best ILB prospect in the draft this year, Ozzie did what he does best, he Drafts in what the Fantasy circles call VBD(value based drafting).

Anyone else confused right now? We lost art jones, never had a fs, lost slot cb, lack future pass catcher then all of sudden we take a lb.

People just want something to complain about. When it comes to the draft, if the guy who they wanted wasn't the pick it's a bad pick. Your right about Mosley and remember guys, Ozzie doesn't just draft for the now, but for 2, 3, 4 years in the future. Smith won't be around in a couple years. Mosley and Brown can make a solid 1-2 punch at ILB for us. In fact I love how our front seven would look now....

Suggs          D. Smith  Mosley                 Doom

           Ngata        Williams            Canty

I'd be happy if we can land Lee, Hageman, Tuitt or even Jordan Matthews at 48 tomorrow night.

Let's all take a moment to be thankful that Lewan, Fuller, OBJ didn't fall to the Steelers. If the Ravens had swapped 1st with the Steelers because of the "Tomlin Incident" and took Mosley at 15 and the Steelers took Shazier at 17 no one would think anything of it.. I think we made out just as good as if the NFL actually made us swap picks.

I was disappointed with the Mosley pick but my disappointment was lowered after watching some games of him and  also getting  a better understanding of what player he was. Honesly Mosley was a much better pick than Clinton Dix and Calvin Pryor.

The Ravens potentially have a future pro bowler in  Mosley and we could potential have the best linebacker trio with  him, Daryl Smith and Arthur Brown.

It's called BPA my friend. Also ILB was a very underrated need as well. Arthur Brown was still a potential liability heading into the season as a starter and Mosley is the definition of a plug and play, day 1 starter, just look at his pedigree as a 2 year captain under Nick Saban at Alabama.

Also look at how the board stacks at the positions you mentioned. Mosley was the only true stand out, 3 down ILB in the entire draft. WR specifically is still stacked heading into the 2nd and 3rd round.. we can still get Jordan Matthews, Moncrief, Latimer, Jarvis Landry, Davante Adams.. plenty of picks yet to be made before we start criticizing positions of need. One or more of these wr's in the mid rounds will be a stud like Keenan Allen was last year and that's why position plays a big part in draft value.

We can still address the cornerback position, defensive end/tackle position, and  the wide receiver position in the next  two rounds.

Predicted we would take him right before the pick was in. I personally really like the pick and like him a hell of a lot more than HHCD.
