wenning will give tyrod a run for his money, i would't be surprised if he wins the backup qb job.

Yeah, the end of season presser...oz & john agree on the type of wr the ravens need. I never would have guessed it was a 5'8" 35 year old.

I'm pretty sure the "type" is tough, smart, aggressive.

Evidently that "type" didn't exist in this year's draft or they would have taken one. Oh well.

I wish we could have got a good 3tech if we were going DT. To me in a 3-4 Jernigan is a NT and in a 4 front he's a 1tech. Both of which Williams would play. We needed a 5 or 3tech. More of a pass rusher would have been nice

Guess I'm the only person that likes this draft. We made out like bandits and it seems like the popular sports outlets noticed too. We have very grades on all sites which is rare for us.

It seems the main complaint on this forum is that we went defense high. I believe this is a good thing that Ozzie has faith in our offense. Also that we didn't really draft big names , I understand that you guys touted on espn went to other teams but these guys were scouted by our FO and they go really indepth. Character , leadership , etc. Are all very important to Ozzie. If you search any of our prospect all of them share two things ; they work hard and have character.

How dare anybody doubt Ozzie. He has forgotten more about football then any of us will ever know.

Also lets see who we grab undrafted. If you remember , last year , our leading receiver in TDs was undrafted.

Pfft, you kidding me? I'm a defensive guy and LOVE what we did in this draft. The people who wanted offense for our team are offensive minded and wanted either an explosive receiver or running back. the only problem was, the offensive line had to be addressed and people forgot how terrible the Ravens were at protecting Joe.

That being said, they did well and the o-line is much improved from last year. The thought of A.Q shippley and Gino Gradkowski as our lineman for another year makes me shudder..

WR.

Campanaro. He is one of those guys who could be pretty darn useful.

Yes, he can play.

2013 - Before he broke his collarbone last year, he had NO TROUBLE getting open against NCSU, UMD etc.

Had 3 straight weeks like this:

NCSU - 12 catches; 153 yards, 2 TD

Maryland - 11 catches; 122, 1 TD

@Miami - 10 catches; 88 yards, 1 TD

Earlier in the season against a "bowl team" - ULM - he went for:

16 catches; 177 yards - of course he dropped the 2 point conversion to send the game to OT.

The secondary kid who got drafted earlier from NCSU - that entire secondary could not handle him - none of them.

2012 (Jr) - led the ACC with 7.9 receptions per game - second highest average in HISTORY of ACC

2011 (So) - That run back espn showed against Clemson - he and WF beat Tajh Boyd and Co. down that day, and then the WF kicker missed a 24 yard field goal to ice it.  That was Camp's sophomore year and he was good.

Got on some ridiculous exercise regimen and got into phenomenal shape going into 2011 - WF had crap QB's and Camp and Givens (St. Louis Rams) were all they had.  That may be why his measurables are also very good - that workout regimen.

I think the most valuable player we drafted was mosley , not because he was a first rounder, but because he already has the tools to become a starter. As far as Fs Brooks, I don't know how he will turn out because our secondary coach is gone and he was the reason for all those no names beasts we had.

Still really struggling at WR though, especially if Gordon's out for the year.

I'm disappointed with a couple of picks, but overall I'm pleased with our haul. I'm a bit sketchy of calling people reaches because it involves a lot of speculation and in two years time we'll only care about the hits and not when they were drafted.

Our front seven promises to be monstrous this year, and I don't think anyone seems to realise how much work we've saved ourselves for the next couple of years: it looks like things would have gotten pretty dire with talk of Haloti and Canty retiring. We've patched up the secondary with my favourite FS and picked up some weapons that look to be generally underrated. I'm not doing cartwheels in the streets, but I'm pleased with what we have.

I'm only disappointed about not coming out with a WR1 (gotta be realistic though: we can't have everything) and no CB depth (and if that's the best we have to complain about...).

Imagine having the Saints at 2nd & 14 this season, and being able to put up a front seven of Dumervil, Ngata, Jernigan, Suggs, Smith, Mosley and Brown. Good luck passing on that. :D

I'm defense minded first and yet, we need to help our offense help our defense! We need key and solid offensive players not the scraps that's leftover in the draft and now, we're trying to squeeze blood out of a turnip with them. Smh!

#Mili

I agree with this. While I'll always be defensive minded person first. I was truly hoping to see the office get a jolt of new life. ( I knew Ebron was a dream, but I thought M.Lee, J.Matthews, A.Robinson were real possibilities. Was looking for Z.Martin to give Flacco some much needed protection as well. ).

Hoping Mellette and M.Brown can make me forget about all the WRs we passed on. ( the first 3 rounds had me screaming for a WR the way I was screaming for Q.Patton last year lol).

I've grown to be partial to this draft.

I'll go through each player individually

CJ Mosley: Grade B+

Injury concerns and lack of need aside. Mosley is a hell of a talent. He's instinctual, and a great athlete. Most important, he's damn good in coverage. He also allows the switch to a 4-3.

Timmy Jernigan: Grade A+

I loved this pick. He's an effort guy, unlike Cody, and actually has good athletic ability. This also makes the switch to a 4-3 more imminent since he'd have to learn how to play in our scheme.

Terrence Brooks: Grade A+

We needed a good coverage FS who's crazy athletic. He's a leader and a good compliment to Elam. He was a high second rounder according to most.

Crockett Gilmore: Grade C-

Originally, an F. I understand the pick. While not a great athlete, he's got good hands and good blocking ability(he's the anti Dickson). Daniels never makes it through a full season, and he has two good mentors to help out.

I'm pretty sure this pick was made by using a TE random # generator and Crockett happened to be the guy. Since Kubiak loves TE.

Brett Urban: Grade B.

Had as a second round grade according to Mayock. I don't think so, but he's important in stopping the run. Which we sucked at last year. This was inevitable.

Lorenzo Taliaferro: Grade D.

While a scheme fit, there was better RBs available.

John U: Grade A

Genius IQ? Hell yeah. I hated the pick at the time since he wasn't a tackle, but he's going to be much needed depth. He's intelligent and fits the scheme.

Good depth, which is crucial.

Keith Weining: Grade C

We needed a backup, but there were better players there.

But down with tyrod

Flacco haters: What are you talking about. He's brought it to backup TYROD. All this means is that Flacco is getting cut

Modified Grade After that statement: F

Michael C: Grade A

Our much needed draft pick.

Overall Draft Grade

B-.

One of Ozzie's worst need drafts, but we brought in talent and boosted the front 7. We still need pass rush, but we filled most other needs(WR not being a major need with smith, but getting Mike anyway).

Flacco got a huge contract after he led us to the SB throwing the ball to Boldin and then we promptly traded away Anquan for peanuts. Two drafts went by, one with the deepest WR class in years another with Keenan Allen falling past us in the draft twice, and we have yet to adress the Boldin trade in the draft. Just like last year we're hoping, that the guys we have will fill in that role. I don't see it.

You don't need a franchise QB to play good defense and run the ball well, yet that's all the Ravens seem to be interested in doing. That big contract makes less and less sense to me.

I hope I am wrong I truly do, but I honestly believe that ozzie was fooled by the tide again.....

Remember Cody........

Still have hope Cody will have a healthy productive year and give his best.

Didn't think we needed Mosley. He'll be useful, but we had glaring needs and Oz pretty much ignored them.

With Mosley we certainly did not draft a young Ray Lewis, so it's hard to figure what Oz was doing.

San Francisco continues to kick our butt.  First they get the best safety in the draft in 2013 by wisely trading up....then they get our best receiver because Oz gets brain freeze....then this year they get Jimmy Ward the best ball hawk in the draft and Carlos Hyde.

We have to trade Oz for whoever is making the calls over in Frisco.

If Flacco was a good QB he wouldn't need these receivers.  Peyton Manning turned untalented nobodies like Wes Welker, Demaryius Thomas, and Eric Decker, not to mention those jokes of players like Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne in Indianapolis.  And we all know Gronk is a terrible TE who Brady turned into a star.  Brees doesn't have anything to work with down there.  And none of those teams have invested in the offensive line either.  Clearly you don't get it and Flacco sucks.

I'm right there with you guys. Ozzie filled every need that he said he was going to fill. Players may have not been selected where people predicted, but Ozzie took BPA based on need. I don't understand why people are surprised when Ozzie does the same thing year after year lol. We passed on those players for a reason and it goes a lot further than just watching some Youtube highlights and some film. Were only given so much to judge these prospects off of when it's a lot more in depth than anyone actually realizes.

Our O-line will be much improved from last year and a guy like Urschel could potentially come in and win that spot if we move KO to RT. Gino/Urschel could battle it out for that role because Osemele should be moved back outside. As much as I like him as an OG, we need another experienced OT. Taliaferro I think could have a rookie of the year season. If our run game gets going and Kubiak does what he usually does he could primed for a lot of carries. Pierce has some nagging injuries, Forsett is a change of pace guy, and who knows about Ray Rice.
