I really need to pick a team that has a bit more in place next year. With such a massive rebuild, it was impossible to actually build completely strong depth at any of my positions. It would be nice to actually start with a strong cast and add to it next year instead of taking on a daunting task such as the Browns lol.

I need to get a team that hasn't been changed before I get to touch it. I would've made much different decisions if I had my team intact.

Well maybe if you didn't have to be such a damn good American...

I have numerous proven interior pass-rushers, and they are versatile to line up in different schemes. My sub-packages where interior pressure is most important will have a rotation of Casey, Jackson, Smith, and Daniels with Matthews and Young off the edge. No other team has close to that. That's not even mentioning Datone Jones or Nate Collins who can both provide an interior rush as well. On the edge my depth is just fine. Ethan Westbrooks is a rookie, but he has potential to be a very good player and since when did Calvin Pace perform poorly last season? That's news to me. He notched 10 sacks and had the same pass-rush productivity as Trent Cole and was higher than Carlos Dunlap. Shea McClellin has been a bust, but he has completely transformed his body in the offseason and is poised for a break-out year.

0 sacks matters. Mebane was able to generate pressure, but not getting home is a big difference. He's the only player you have on the interior and the production isn't there, and why are you talking about previous seasons? Mebane was very poor the season before and so was Avril if you want to go down that road. Let's not talk about things that are irrelevant. The rest of your "depth" are late round rookies. Any impact they might have is highly questionable, unproven, and lackluster, and your depth at DE is once again rookies. Rookie pass-rushers do not have a very good track record in the NFL.

That you do. And I have numerous outside pass rushers who are versatile to line up in different schemes. And Cincinnati has a group of 5 outstanding starters to throw around, with arguably the best interior pass rushing duo at DT in Atkins and Hatcher. Each of those teams is able to field a top tier unit when going to their Nickle and Dime packages, so the notion of no other team being close is delusional. Jones has potential, but neither of the two were effective last season. Not exactly sure what resource you're using, as Pace was 22nd in pass rushing productivity among his position peers, and finished under Cole and Dunlap in that department. Not to mention that he was the 11th worst graded rusher, graded out negatively overall and wasn't close to the duo in run support. Frankly, he shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence with regards to the caliber of player.

There's a big difference between generating pressure and never being able to finish, and generating pressure but not being able to finish because your team fields 2 of the best passing rushing DEs in all of football. I brought up the season before solely because you criticized Mebane for his past pass rushing failures when neither Casey nor Daniels nor Jackson nor Young found much success in that department in 2012. Martin was conveniently left out yet again. Barnett and Uko were taken well ahead of Westbrooks, yet your depth is fine with him as your main reserve, but my 4th round and 6th round selections are disregarded because they're both classified as a late rounders? Praising your UDFA rookie for his potential and labeling mine as highly questionable and lackluster, who are clearly superior prospects, takes bias to an other worldly level. Especially when the rest of the statement praises Jones, Collins and McClellin, one of the worst overall defensive players in football last season, as dependable depth when none of the three have done anything significant since their rookie seasons. And an unproven rookie with potential is much better than a player hasn't proven anything since the rookie season. The last part is unsupported. Pass rushing is a translatable skill and quite a few rookie rushers were able to make an immediate impact in that department.

ROUND 3:

BIGGEST STEAL: Zach Mettenberger #95 to Cleveland. I believe he will be the second best QB in this class after Bridgewater. A steal this late in the draft.

Deone Bucannon at #94 is looking really good right now

I think he is that talented to be worth the late 1st. Him and Brooks were both steals where they were had

There's always the counter argument that the Cardinals made a very bad pick which was a colossal reach...

That Bromley pick looks really good right now :D

See a steal. Had a feeling we were under rating him.

One of my round 4 UDFAs just went in Hitchens

Yeah nice one there. Alexander was 3rd round UDFA for me. My picks have been kind of all over the place. Gabe Jackson took him in the 2nd and he went 3rd. Sankey was the opposite. Got Khyri Thornton in the 7th and went 3rd and Shaq evans 5th to 4th. Marsh also went 4th and he was my first UDFA.

Yours were even more all over the place though. Teddy, Bucannon and Bradford weren't even close to where you selected them.

To Dallas... doesn't count :P

Knew someone would say that.

Teddy was about a round lower

Ealy 1/2 a round lower

Bradford 1 round lower

Bucannon 2 rounds higher

Mitchell hasn't been drafted yet

Gillmore was 2 round higher

Rodgers was 5 round higher

Overall I think I would be in the positive for pick value

I almost traded up for Taliaferro at the end of the 4th since I thought Grim could take him but I decided to risk it and he fell to the 6th to me. Hopefully Kubiak can make him look good, I really like him for us. Tough choice now with the avi

Never thought if say this but the cowboys are probably my favorite draft of any team so far. Martin, Lawrence and street are all favorites of mine.

Cowboys have not had a bad draft. Raiders right now would probably be my pick for the best.

I'd agree with that.

They did what good teams do, they stuck true to their board and let it come to them.

I was going to take him but I liked Johnson a bit more.
