And even after Pitt scored, before Flacco threw the pick we were in long field goal range. By not tacking on that extra field goal we HAD to score a TD, if we would have had that extra field goal, a field goal wins us the game.
You are right about that neepo!

Win you change the past, the future change's. Frank Walker may not have been talking smack during the extra point and the kicker would not have pushed him.

McGahee needs to rebound, Offense need to put up points against great defense to go far in the playoffs (considering we make it).

My point exactly, if we change Flacco getting sacked, then the entire events of the game from that point on do not matter anymore. Perhaps we would have been successful in kicking the long FG, perhaps we wouldn't. Maybe the Steelers would have scored a TD, maybe they wouldn't. We don't know and we never will short of being able to travel to parallel universes. It is impossible to say McGahee's blown block cost us the game, and as a result you cannot blame him for anything more than the missed block.

theres no one play that cost us that game. you could blame mcgahee's missed block. but what about the offense not getting a td off of reed's fumble? there were a couple times where the offense should have gotten in the endzone and didnt. also what better situation could you want than the pitt offense having to drive 92 yards against our defense. id take those odds almost any day.
Ok Mcgahee has been playing poorly like all season and we already knew that he can't run or cathc or hold on theo the ball this season but did anyone see him miss that blcok on Lawrence Timmons last night? Timmons just ran by him, sacked Flacco and pushed us out of field goal range. Mcgahee screwed up agian. lets just just trtade him
yes and Flacco fumbled and everyone blames Flacco for that play... it was some bs... I dont like McGahee... I say we play McClain on 1st and 2nd down and Ray Rice on 3rd when we need to pass

I wonder what Mcgahee will do against Dallas tommorow. I'm serously predicting 6 carries for 17 yards. NOthing special. I don't know if Rice is playing, if not, then Mcgahee should get a few more carries, thus ensuring that every drive we have to overcome a third and long.
Last time I checked, 13 is still greater than 12. Even if you tack on a field goal to our score, we still lose. We would not have pinned them back at their 8 yard line off a kickoff. Yeah McGahee obviously blew the block that was his responsibility, but adding a field goal to our score would not have necessarily changed anything. He is not going to go anywhere, he has had an injury riddled year, and he has admitted that he is disappointed in his own performance. Sure, he missed two passes that went his way during the game, but any time a player has a subpar year I cannot justify so many people crying "Get rid of the bum," especially after he made the Pro Bowl last year (yes I know he was an alternate). It is also worth pointing out that several of the passes thrown in his direction, were thrown poorly and either behind or high.

He had an excellent year for us last year, and frankly we needed him to have that kind of year for us to be as competitive as we were. Fortunately, this year we are in a situation with a more developed McClain and an emerging Rice, not to mention one of the NFL's best ever fullbacks in Lorenzo Neal, where we do not need Willis to have another stellar year. We have fallen more in line with the committee back system that so many other teams use, so losing one player is not going to hurt us drastically. Yes, I would like him to performing at a higher level, and perhaps he will help carry our team into the playoffs these last two weeks for all we know. One must look at the complete body of work once the season is over in order to make a fair analysis. With Rice recovering from his injury, Willis gives us more of a big play potential catching passes out of the backfield than McClain does.

I hope he is beginning to turn the corner from his recent funk, as I personally will take any spark we can get in our offense. I want to see us regain our place among the top 5 teams running the football this season, as we dropped to 6th after our performance against the Steelers. The Ravens' identity has always been to play physical football both on offense and defense, and Willis proved himself last year as being more than capable of living up to that identity. Let us not be so quick to cast him aside, especially when it is obvious he still has quite some time left with the team. Stop acting like the Eagles fans that want to kick McNabb to the curb any time he has a lackluster performance, only to willing love him when he has an outstanding game. We are better than that.

For the record, this also applies to people calling for Rolle "The Hole" to be removed from our roster in the offseason as well. He and Fabian did a great job the entire game Sunday, do not blame him for the defensive plays that were called and their results.
While people are quick to blame the defense it should be noted that they were on the field too long and that is why we have 4th qr collapses with the defense. I was surprised at how good Fabian did covering, he is just a poor tackler tho.

We ran the ball ok and I was surprised to see the play action fail, I think they were not worried about McClains home run ability that is why we need Rice and a healthy Megahee.

After watching Flacco this year he is much more accurate then Boller ever was but the problem is if the pass is not 100% accurate the WR cant catch it except for Mason and Heap. Clayton, Williams and Figers are horrible.

that is a ridiculous statement. williams has been on IR so how can you call him horrible. Clayton had an absolute dirty one handed catch plus other great catches this year. Figurs is barely even involved in the offense so I dont know how or why you would call them horrible.
