2014 Game Schedule

212 posts in this topic

lol Panther's fan on the upcoming schedule:

"I’ll be doing delayed obsession. I’ll DVR the program and watch it Thursday night when I don’t have to get up at 5:30 the next morning.

My expectations are low. The Panthers crew of average WRs plus Steve Smith are all gone, and everyone is certain we’re going 4-12, even though our new WRs aren’t any worse, the draft hasn’t happened and our entire defensive front 7 will be back.

We will get only one national game, almost certainly the game at Baltimore, with whatever network broadcasting it openly rooting for “Blood & Guts” Smith to score 5 TDs and for the Ravens to destroy us. We will end the season at New Orleans or at Atlanta, just like pretty much every season of our existence.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys, Redskins, Patriots and Broncos will all get at leastt 5 prime time games, if not more. Everyone at all 5 networks that broadcast games will spend the next 4 months bloviating that the Broncos are going 19-0 and that Manning will throw for 7,000 yards and 75 touchdowns.

That about covers everything. See, I saved y’all the effort of watching live. You’re welcome."

And I thought we had a persecution complex.....

Fun post to read though. I love gallows humour for some reason.

Sucks we got shutout of the prime time slate in week one but I guess a 1PM game to start at home against Cleveland isn't too bad.

I also hope the Chargers game is relatively early in the season. My buddy is flying out from San Diego for this game. I would hate it if his spoiled sunny southern California self would have to endure a Baltimore cold spell.

How many times has our home opener been the Browns??? Seems like an awful lot. That's getting old too.

No better way to welcome him to Baltimore than with the Baltimore cold weather.

Or close at the Bungles. Like I said on the previous page, it's interesting how much of an event the league can make nothing really changing.

Least they could do is switch it up - open with the Bengals - close with the Browns.

Oh my bad! I forgot they believe the Browns are a gimmie so it's always the Steelers that get to close with them.

As we know Week 2 tends to be our downfall especially after a week one win. So which team is it do we play in week 2? Also anyone looking forward to seeing who the Eagles play in their home opener to see if some new team can start a new streak?

Nah' He is a great guy.

When the Ravens played San Diego a few years back ( the year Ray dropped Darren Sproles for a loss to win the game. ) he bought my ticket to the game ( 30 yard line fifteen rows back Ravens side ) and showed me all around San Diego. It was a great weekend.

I want to return the favor now that the Chargers are finally playing here.

#Steelers to open the season with a game. They will also close their season with a game. In between, they will play 14 others

Steelers @ Ravens......................

WEEK 2 on Thursday Night Football.

If that's true, we get the Thursday game out of the way while we're still fresh and there's no way we slump in week two.

Hopefully we finish the season in Cleveland.

Starting out against the Bengals and then the Steelers in Week 1? Damn, the NFL must want to get our division standings established early!

Late bye is helpful if we can stay healthy early.  Also, I know all we're doing is speculating because what else can we do at this point, but our finishing run after that bye and Monday night matchup in NO looks set up for a strong finish.  Both Bengals and Steelers games out of the way by Week 9?  Crazy.

Guess my road trip will be to either the Week 1 game against the Bengals or the Week 2 game against the Steelers.

Do we get the bye before the MNF game? Can't argue with that. Hopefully the Saints have the Falcons on a Thursday after our game or something, so they keep one eye on that.

Two primetime games vs Steelers?  Who wants to bet the second one gets flexed out lmao

Our home game against them is on a Thursday. I wouldn't call that a primetime game tbh. That's probably the lamest part of our season.
