2014 Game Schedule

212 posts in this topic

Finally being released tonight. Good chance we open at home. Any predictions on what else our schedule will be?

After the release, any complaints? We know the NFL always throws us a schedule curveball.

Would love to see Steelers or Bungles at home last game of the year! Wouldn't mind an easy start either, hopefully a Browns or Jags at home first game. Go ravens!

I fully expect the NFL to send us to Denver for week 1.

I'd be very happy with a modest home opener with 3-4 primetime games. Will some clown in the NFL FO make it 5 years in a row to close against the Bengals?

It's starting to become a tradition at this point lol

I think we'll play the Steelers on Thanksgiving again this year. I also think we'll have some crazy road trip, like playing back-to-back in New Orleans and Indianapolis or something.

The NFL usually doesn't schedule the same matchups on Thanksgiving every year. And for good reason. I know that the Lions and Cowboys always play that day, but how entertaining would it be to see the exact same two teams play each other? I hope that we get a break from Thanksgiving this year.

I suppose. Then I'll give it until next year to say we play the Steelers. ;) My original thought was playing the Bengals on Thanksgiving. I still think that could happen. I just think we're slowly going to become a tradition on that day just like the Cowboys and Lions, especially with Harbaugh saying he'd be in favor of it.

I just hope the New Orleans game is after November 13th.  Can't think of a better way to bring in turning 21.  Tampa and Miami are some nice secondary options though.

My prediction is Thursday on the road..they are due. Open at home vs Steelers or Browns. 4 primetime games including Thursday game. Doubt we end season at Bengals, it's getting annoying.

All I know is I hope that the games I want to go to fall around either Thanksgiving or Christmas. Would like to at least stay in Baltimore for a few days after the game.

I'm going to say we host the Thanksgiving night game again, most of our games will be at 1PM with about 4 primetime games.

Also, someone please schedule someone else for week 17 other than the Bengals! I know it's become a tradition but still lol. I'll even accept the Browns but I'm pretty sure the Steelers-Browns have become a tradition for week 17 too.

On a Other Teams note......

DO NOT MAKE US SUFFER THROUGH ANOTHER WEEK 17 COWBOYS CHOKE JOB!

Nah - I'm thinking the Pats will get that distinction.

After winning the SB we only got 4 and one of those was pulled late in the season. We didn't get one nationally televised pre-season game - thinking we might not see a lot of Prime Time. Which is crap for me cuz I work Sundays usually. :(

And I agree on the Bengals. So tired of finishing with them. I know why though - they've gone to division match-ups for the last week - trying to keep it meaningful. They like Ravens/Steelers match ups too much to leave for the last week - and Browns are too weak for them to think that would be meaningful.

Crap. We'll proably see the Bengals week 17 - again.

Close season against Steelers in prime time

Somehow, the NFL would find a way to flex the Cowboys into Week 17 Primetime over Ravens-Steelers.

The first game of the year will be 49ers at Seahawks on Thursday night...Michael Crabtree vs Richard Sherman part deux.

Ravens will open up at home against the Browns

Saw the 49ers vs Seahawks being the Season Opener a mile away. It's cool we get to open at home but against the Browns? I was hoping for the SNF slot or the first MNF game in Week 1.

HUGE NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FleX Scheduling can now begin in WEEK 5!

The potential flex games between Week 5 and Week 10 come with a stipulation. The NFL can't change the tentative "Sunday Night Football" game every week. The league can flex up to two games total into Sunday night between Weeks 5-10. The rest of the flexible schedule procedures from previous years remains intact. After Week 11, the NFL can flex any Sunday night game.

I just want us to have a nice smooth tune up game week 1...a nice 45-20 victory would give us our confidence back that completely disappeared last season.

I doubt we get a prime time slot anyways...Sunday/Monday night will be reserved for some combo of the Broncos, Patriots, Chiefs, Colts, Packers Bears or Saints. Or maybe it will just be the Jaguars and Raiders...I dunno

It's about time the NFL moved flex scheduling but I didn't expect them to move it as early as week five. So what do you guys think of the new flex scheduling rule?

I wish they would apply it to Monday hahahahaha Monday night games have been sorely lacking recently.

The problem is that the ones making that decision don't always understand what makes a good football game. They tend to believe Steelers/Ravens weren't a good draw because they were usually lower scoring affairs. It wasn't until they had a poll and that rivalry won as one of the best that the opinion changed.

But, hypothetically, if everyone does their job correctly and objectively, it does allow for the best match-up to be featured.

…like shoving the Cowboys down our throats in primetime every single year.

I'm calling it now...

Falcons @ Ravens for the Thanksgiving Night game.

I was thinking the same thing, but I also was thinking Carolina as the whole thing with Steve Smith facing the Panthers.

Nothing was worse than Thursday night football...aside from NFL networks terrible game coverage and ingame commentary of Mike Mayock pretty much doing his coverage of the NFL combine constantly yelling out 40 times and bench reps and this and that....the matchups and teams featured were terrible.

Jets, Rams, Browns, Titans, Jaguars, Buccaneers, Dolphins, Vikings, Texans...its like Rodger Goodell gave handouts to sucky teams to put them in the limelight. No one wants to watch scrubby teams with no talent do nothing all night. Im glad CBS gets to cover most of the Thursday night games, hopefully the matchups are better.

I hope for the competition to be spread out evenly and for there to not be any huge curveballs, wouldn't mind if we didn't play on Thursday night either unless it is coming off a bye lol

Can't argue with that!

Honestly when I count Prime Time appearances for the Ravens, I don't count Thursday as one

Speaking on CBS covering those Thursday match-ups - I read ESPN is going to get a playoff game.

Now it's changing. On Twitter it's looking like either Packers @ Seahawks or Cowboys @ Seahawks.
