Wow #27 makes absolutely no sense. Does NFL.com even look at stats? Jimmy Smith shut down receivers all last year

Hard to get interceptions when teams don't throw your way.  Give me the guy that doesn't get the chance to put up insane stats.  That shows that he's doing his job.

Jimmy has a top 12 corner last, maybe even top 10. to say he was a bust for a last first is absurd (considering he had the injury bugs his first two seasons as well).

lol he didn't just call him a bust; he called him a burger flipper. He clearly thinks he'll be out of the league

They look at the stats, but the problem is that it seems that's all they do (like when they criticise Joe for his low completion percentage, without thinking the system he's in makes its money of lower-percentage passes while Peyton Manning gets to pad his stats with constant five-yard ducks to open receivers).

Maybe we should make a similar list for nfl.com writers and analysts. We have a good nomination for burger flipper.

Lolol I still can't believe they used the word "Burger Flipper". Who is writing these articles honestly? You could give a 13 year old kid this job and he could do it better. Almost all the NFL writers don't know what they are talking about and just post pointless articles. This is another reason why the draft needs to be moved back to where it was.

Hmmm, that article was written by someone named Chris Brockman.

Putting him on my "don't take serious" list.

I just came here to make sure I wasn't the only one who saw that article. Most of his picks make sense but calling Jimmy the worst 27th picked player in the last 10 years after a hugely impressive 3rd year and the play that effectively won the Super Bowl is a absurd. I thought at least most people learned about Jimmy during the Lions game where he shadowed a "motivated" Calvin Johnson (who everyone thought would torch us for 200-250 yards).

Sometimes I wonder if these are football gurus who learned to write articles or writers who tried to learn football.

Looked him up and based on his twitter picture I'm pretty sure he's a red sox fan…go figure
