That's exactly the reason I do not buy it anymore. Had to get last years because it is the last with Ray on it

They had a tendency of making it worse over the last few iterations.  I believe it was 13 where they really broke the engine.

Yeah, for as hard as they try, some of the mechanics and in game play is shoddy

There's nothing more infuriating for me than having defenders glitch through the bodies of my players for INTs.

 

Looks like Richard Sherman will be the one getting injured this year.

Cornerbacks dropping the easiest interceptions.

Screens not working at all.

Not being able to generate any pass rush despite having a superstar crew.

That engine they use seems to be glitchy as hell. I have a feeling this game won't look much different from the previous games especially since it is still being developed for last gen.

Yeah the AI isn't particularly intelligent.  They patched out Superman LBs 3 titles ago but they keep bringing it back too.  I was going to try FIFA, but I heard they ruined that too.  I got bored with NB2k after a while because it takes so long to play a game.

Sports games in general seem to be lacking in quality.  It's too much about graphics and not enough about gameplay.  All of these exclusives offer no incentive for companies to try.

My biggest peeve as well.  I typically play as the FS and I can't tell you how many times I've correctly jumped a route or made a good decision only for the ball to bounce right off of the hands.

I like to roam a little bit more which is why I like the FS.  I occasionally play as the OLB though.  Getting to the QB is fun.

That's the reason I play a pass rusher. I usually pick the best pass rusher on my team and get a decent amount of sacks a game

I had the complete opposite happen to me in Madden 10. It was my Ravens franchise, playing the Colts in the playoffs. I had the WR covered, I was in front of him ready to make the interception. I jumped, he jumped. Ball goes to the ground... and I hear Touchdown. I went back and looked at the replay, the receiver glitched his hands through the stomach of my corner to catch the ball for the TD.

If the running system is as bad as it was in the PS4 version, I might seriously stick to the current generation Madden '25.

I generally play defensive line, love getting by the O-linemen and flushing the QB out or getting the sack.

Same here.  Which DL I am depends on who my DL is.  I prefer to use the left DE though.
