Mike Glennon Trade?

13 posts in this topic

There has been chatter Tampa plans on taking a QB in the 1st round of the draft this year and possibly moving out Glennon via trade to avoid any QB controversies:

If that is the case, maybe Ravens should take a look at him before the draft, he may come at a low price via value but if you paid attention to his draft profile:

He would be the most suitable player I can see at this point who could run the offense in the case of Flacco missing time. What say you Ravens Nation?

No way we should give up draft picks for a backup, but I would love Glennon as a backup; would be absolutely perfect for us. He was often compared to Flacco coming into the league.

I think TB is insane; he looked pretty decent as a rookie.

That's what I thought as well. Considering that team did not play well as a group, he showed me enough that he's a capable starter. McCown/Glennon is a good duo for development purposes. Why waste a top 10 pick on a QB? -- I'm comfortable rolling w/ Tyrod as the backup for now.

I wouldn't say without question that we shouldn't give up a draft pick to get him (as we may be using one of our later round picks to get a backup QB anyway ...) but what "draft pick" is going to be suitable in such a trade?

We have no pick that can be dealt other than our first 3 rounds or the 6th round pick (all others are comp picks). There is no way we're using one of our first 3 picks for a backup QB, so unless Tampa is willing to deal him for our 6th rounder (which I seriously doubt), or some other later round pick from next year's draft, then this isn't even in the realm of possible.

Not worth a pick, I'd let Tyrod's rookie deal run out then grab someone super cheap off FA or another late round QB.

I wouldn't trade a pick pick for him when he was a third round pick last year which means the Bucs would want a similar pick in return.

Sounds like Lovie Smith is outta control.

I'll trade Thompsdn,Jah Reid and a jailbird to be named later

Yeah, he's worth way more than 6th.
