Ravens sign TE Owen Daniels

Honestly, moving up to get a top talent would be my dream. We don't need to move up for Dix, however, maybe we move up to get a Mike Evans or a Kahlil Mack. Additionally ... Our compensatory picks are not tradable, so we have ammo.

I think if there is a year we should trade up its this year. If we trade up to get Evans though I think marlon brown is going to struggle to get ANY snaps for us next year

We could trade this years number one, next years number one (I am saying this under the assumption that we finish with a bottom 5-6 pick) and our third round pick thats tradeable to move into the top 5 to get Watkins.  The value is there, and with us having a comp pick in the 3rd, I think that would be a brilliant move.

Thank you, sir. Very reason I don't leave the mobile skin. Way too many idiots out there.

I think this is more likely bad news for Clark. Dickson blocks enough to still be in consideration.

There was never any chance of us resigning Clark. But we were at least in talks with Dickson, now I can't see any reason to bring him back thankfully. He blocks like a wide receiver and catches like a defensive back.

I'm impressed with the FO continuing to add talent. Our red zone offense, always a struggle for us, has the potential to be much improved with all the taller targets who can catch.

Well....I....ummm....yeah, I think I would do this for an absolute surefire stud.

Nah, our DBs have pretty soft hands. I think there's hope that somebody will sign Dickson and keep us at the maximum for comp picks, otherwise he probably gets to come to camp and compete for a spot. We are going to carry three TEs if we plan to use two TE sets.

I still think we will try and sign Dickson. Kubiak uses the te a lot and Dickson under new position coaches may get better. I know everyone thinks he has bad hands but I read a post or article on here that said he only had 5 dropped balls. Flacco Didn't throw to him a lot and after Pitta came back so did Dicksons catching ability. Lets be honest here people nobody had a great year on offense last year. That includes everyone. If they had... we may have got at the very least a wild card slot.

I'd say Marlon Brown had a great year.

Blocking TEs are a dime a dozen. We now have 2 dangerous pass catching TEs with Steve smith who I think will be great in the slot which greatly increases the value of Torrey and Jacoby. We have the talent to attack every level of the field from short to deep and from sideline to sideline.

If our Oline improves we are going to be potent and have the diversity/talent to adjust our personnel to match up well against any defense and gameplan.

IF flacco doesnt deliver this year with all the improvements we have made and will continue to make I think we can safely say he may be tradable after this season.

Someone still doesn't understand how the salary cap works I see...

I wouldn't be mad. Ozzie won't do it though. He doesn't put all of his eggs in one basket.

Wr really are the Texans east. Pollard, Jacoby, Leach, Daniels, their old HC. No complaints though. See this offense making bigs moves this year. I think Pierce and Pitta will be some of the biggest beneficiaries.

Good signing! Perhaps he could mentor Furstenburg, who I think should get a shot. But, if his blocking ability is lacking, I still want to see a speed attacking TE. If not, speed in the slot. Steve Smith doesn't have those kind of wheels anymore. Brandin Cooks would fit nicely at the Y, Landry would be good also but we're in need of more Z WR compliment to Torrey.

I just honestly feel we need to get that top tier talent, regardless of position really. We've been trading back and drafting for depth for too long. This is the year to get a top guy, the first time we've been this high in the draft in a while. Mike Evans would be my dream player to draft,  but that make Marlon a 5th WR.

His not going to be mentoring anybody. Honestly, all of these 1-year guys are trying to survive in the legue to (hopefu

Ly) find a longer deal next year.

If Fursty wants to start in NFL, he'll have to bring up the storm and outcompete all the TE @camp to have a shot. Thats just the nature of the business!

Great signing! Wonder what this deal is going to cost? Maybe we have a little left to sign Eric Winston?

I honestly hope not. He looked to be on the decline with both Arizona and Kansas City. People also complain about Oher having lots of penalties, but over the past three years, Winston had more.

Either Daniels got the skills or he doesn't to be high on the depth chart. Just because someone is on a 1-year contract, that doesn't preclude them from being a team player which add to his worth in the eyes of management in addition to on-the-pitch performance. How many times have we seen big contract / multi-year starters or high-draft selectees usurped on the depth chart by a lesser known or newly signed player? Wilson > Flynn, Kaep > Smith...but did the guy riding the pine still offered mentorship, begrudgingly perhaps yet still likely.

As for Fursty...ah yeah, what you wrote.
