Yup. Verlander actually reminds me of Kershaw in the post season. Just not as bad, but still underwhelming.

Yep oof, I think the nats/giants winner will represent the NL. The NL is just so shockingly bad compared to the AL its gonna be a walkover whoever you guys face.

Yeah 8 runs seams absurd considering the season he just had, but his start wasn't impressive outside of the strike out numbers. It hasn't been a good postseason for these high profile pitchers.

KC leads 1-0 right now in the bottom of the third. If they win tonight they will be 2-0, and 2-0 against the Angels in LA might I add. With a chance to move into the ALCS with a home victory in KC on Sunday.

Sometimes when I think about the season we've had, I feel like that little kid high out of his mind in the back of his dad's car, after the dentist, asking "Is this real life?"

The Angels look like just a bunch of guys getting paid to play baseball; just not feeling them. I feel like they lack the heart that the Royals have.

Who needs an ace?

Stolen from the Orioles Hangout:

Kershaw 8, Lester 6, Scherzer 5, Verlander 4 ER this postseason. Tillman, 2. :D

I was pissed off that Jim johnson blew your season in 2012 against the yankees, you could have face the giants that year. Isn't that perfect? Kershaw the overpaid and overrated unclutch pitcher loses a game where the offense cores 9 runs and puig equally as overrated strikes out last to the awful rosenthal.

Agreed. Obviously we wanna play KC since they look like the inferior team, plus we'd have home field advantage, but KC scares me a little bit with the heart they've got. Combine that with their talent and it's hard for me to decide who I want us to face.

Mattingly definitely should have just taken him out. What a choke job of epic proportions by Kershaw.

Ehhhh. He was a huge part for us to even get there. I mostly blame the entire offense besides Nate McLouth disappearing. Jim certainly didn't help when we got there though. Neither did CC Sabiatha's former fat butt plunking Markakis before the playoffs.

Mike trout is another overrated player who isn't clutch at all, I think the royals are more dangerous then any other team you guys could face to be honest.

Just pitch inside. He can't hit those pitches to save his life.

Speaking of bad players with stupid contracts - albert pujols and then even worse JOSH HAMILTON. Dear lord hamilton might be the worst contract and collapse of player I have ever seen. Honestly I would rather watch playoff baseball than football these days so I guess I won't know anything about how good the league is until like week 8

lol Did you see his really bad strike out yesterday? Dude swings the bat before the ball even arrives in front of the plate.

I heard about it on twitter and everyone was on agreeance how awful it was lol, dear god he is just the worst. Remember when he hit 4 homers in one game in texas? Now he hits maybe 12 ina  year if he's lucky.

The 4 homer game you're referring to was actually against us in Camden Yards. When we played them in the wild card game a couple months later, he was probably the easiest out in their lineup. So much wasted money.

Hmm I thought it was against like the astros or something. Either way I think we all knew he wouldn't justify the price tag but this is just horrible.

Ever since he signed with the angels his average has dropped by like 30 points or something crazy like that. I wont even mention the drop-off in homers because those numbers are beyond sad.

Yeah the homer rate is abysmal, anyways who would have thought royals vs O's potentially to go the ws this season i'm loving it, just wish my A's weren't tinkered with by beane.

Looking like the Royals are going into extra innings AGAIN

I'm guessing it's because of how good the pitching is but both games have been low scoring extra innings games. Like the first one KC won 3-2. They are tied 1-1 heading into the 11th. I don't see how we don't make it to the World Series. Our offense is way stronger than both right now.

And Kansas City just got a HR, they just keep plugging away lol
