No question on HC.

I would take Pollard over Landry as strong safety or Rod Woodson if eligible. I would like to see Tucker instead of Stover too frankly. Lastly Jimmy Smith gets my nod over Webby. Webby would be my 3rd CB. Where is my return man Jermaine Lewis??

DC is between Ryan and Lewis. No question.

OC hmm. Wow. I think it has to be Caldwell by default.

HC is a tough call to me. Billick everyone forgets changed the reputation left by the inept browns. He was handed a collection of junk at first. He also was able to navigate some strong personalities all around and battled the rep of being a hated team.

The day he was announced as picking Baltimore over Cleveland was the beginning of the change of reputation in Baltimore. I'll never forget hearing that announcement. I'm not sure some of the younger fans understand what it was like going from 96-00. As I could never fully appreciate what Johnny U was like.

Billick actually replaced Marchibroda after the first three seasons and I'm not sure you could say that he was handed a "pile of junk".  The offense was pretty good until Vinnie left and was replaced by Jim Harbaugh.  It could be argued that it was much more Marvin Lewis' coaching that put us over the top rather than Billick. Brian's supposed "offensive genius" never came to light while he was with the Ravens.

Harbaugh over Billick, just based on how the team performed under him vs under Billick. Under Billick we had some "disastrous" (embarrassing) seasons. Under Harbaugh we have always been a contender.

Marvin over Rex. Lewis started this whole thing, and the guys after that just "took over" what was already in place for the most part. Mike Nolan was also very good.

Offensive Coordinator - Nobody deserves any "best" title to be honest. I'm sure after this year it will be Kubiak.

I would still put Neal at full back.

Boldin not in the same conversation as mason. He was a major disappointment 90% of his time here. 3rd WR I would consider ismael. If you could count the 90's Jackson

Center I think birk.

I can't get over this sentence. How the heck was Boldin a major disappointment 90% of his time in Baltimore? The only time he disappointed me was that dropped TD pass vs the Steelers in the playoffs.

Well, you have to consider the expectations for him. When you look at the playoff run, that's what people expected of him. Now, we could argue that he wasn't being utilized in the right way, but he was still not consistently producing at a high level.

I don't have the exact stats in front of me, but I can double check if you want. I believe he had like two or three games of over 80 yards, but like 7 or 8 of under 50 in 2013. He had three games where he scored a touchdown. He just was invisible in the stat sheet and wasn't even consistently drawing the best corner from the opposing team.

He always seemed to disappear for long stretches at a time in the receiving game. Sure, he blocked and was physical, but he just wasn't the number one receiver we were looking for

Although he played in Bmore for only a short time, Lorenzo Neal is by far the best fullback ever to wear a Ravens uniform. Since he wasn't here that long he probably doesn't make the "all century" team.

Yea I loved him when he was paving the way for LT....but he was only here for 2008 im pretty sure.

28 catches 620 yards and 6 TDs through 8 playoff games with us...I'll take that over anything "he could have" or "should have been" in the regular season.

We wouldnt be super bowl champs without him....he may not have been a number 1 receiver in the regular season like you said...but he was a damn elite juggernaut beast who could not be stopped in the playoffs when everything was on the line.

I don't think you can put that on billick. Fact is it's damn hard to find a franchise QB. There is no science to if because so much of it is mental. He brought a lot of innovative ideas for the time nonetheless and yo his credit never forced a square peg in a round hole and based the team on a powerful running game and the nastiest defense of all time. The fans and media desire for that ravens team to be a high flying passing attack made no sense whatsoever. This was not a good defense like the Seahawks this year or the dungy bucs this was an all time rival the bears defense. Once in a lifetime. And while there were some frustrating games penalty wise for a while, I don't recall any emberrasing seasons. Billick kept the team together with Lewis offfield issues. Suggs was extremely Undisciplined early on. And everyone else in the country wanted this team to fail because of this perception of what happened with Cleveland. Everyone.

Me neither lol ... That's ridiculous. Boldin turned superhuman during the SB run and we don't win it without him. That alone puts him ahead of anything Mason ever did here (as much as I love Mase).

You are going to overlook all of his less than stellar time here for... Not the whole playoff run even. 2 games. Yes he had a few good games otherwise. But he was a reason we lost to Pittsburgh. He never came close to being the go to clutch receiver mason was here. How can you say boldin was better than mason here because the team played better... Most notably flacco and the O-line raised their game to another level.

Agreed and I think you affirmed my point. I wasn't criticizing Billick, but I don't think he deserves the bulk of the credit for that early success either. It was Marvin Lewis that made that D one of the best ever and the Ravens would not have seen the SB if it were not for the D.

I never considered any of Boldin's time here less than stellar or a disappointment. Consistent and durable as you would want in a WR. His toughness at the WR position is almost unmatched in the league. All I'm saying is given the choice, I take Boldin all day every day over Mason. Chalk it up to personal preference I suppose.

How many more seasons like the past two before Tucker gets considered? 3? 5? He's awesome, but I know Stover was the man for a long time.

he's not far off by any means, i think if he can pass stover's consecutive fg record here like he almost did this past year then he will be level with stover at least, another couple good seasons he can be the best ever by a long shot

if he can consecutively put together season like the one he just had then he could be in the running for best kicker of all time down the road, from what we've seen he can make all the kicks and is more than clutch

This line up makes more sense in a 34 with no backups.

DL: Haloti Ngata, Tony siragusa, Kelly Gregg

ILB: Ray Lewis, Peter boulware

OLB: Terrell Suggs, mike mccrary

CB: Sumari Rolle , Chris McAlister

SCB: lardarius Webb

FS: Rod woodson

SS: Ed reed

K: Matt Stover- no argument for tucker. He hasn't come close to the number of clutch kicks.

P: Sam Koch

Tucker will get there. But stover is like 5th in all time points, so no argument for Tucker is valid yet.

Boldin was signed to be a very strong #1 WR. He never did that. He only topped 900 yds once and never got to 1000. Average like 4 Tds a years. Seeing what he did in SF this year and Zona before, everything but the SB run was a major letdown from him from what we thought we were getting. Still got a great player however, but he had high expectations.

Wow nobody remembers Jamie Sharper he has to make the LB roster. After he was stolen by the Texans in their draft he led the NFL in tackles he was a great player for us. There has to be a place for him on our all century team.

Most 1000 yard receivers are speedsters. Boldin during his time as a Raven was never one to blow the top off the defense. But he was the guy who moved the chains. I would argue that his departure was just as significant to our offensive woes as the run game. I truly liked Mase, but I would rate Boldin's contribution as a Raven higher than Mase's! If I recall correctly it was a game against the Rams and we were down by 3 TDs and Boldin single handedly won that game!

Boldin got 1000 yd almost every year with the Cards and last year with the 9ers.

I would love to compare how many times he was targeted when he was with those teams vs his time as a Raven.

Mase was a warrior.  He was every thing a RAVEN is and should be.

Boldin was a warrior as well. Don't forget how he came back from that fractured jaw when he was a Cardinal.

Right. But for the purposes of this thread only Boldin's performances as a Raven count, and because of that Mason gets the nod.
