2014 Baltimore Orioles

3,862 posts in this topic

If they were passionate, why were they standing around like idiots when their team is 3-0, one game away from the World Series and acting like they loss or something. If this was in Baltimore, and the O's just went 3-0 and were a game away from the WS, that place would be rocking all night. KC, they just looked like they didn't care they won. 3-0, do they not understand what that means.

All well, guess winning 4 straight games to advance to the World Series hasn't been done before but there's always the first. Let's do this.

Dude just stop

Shame pitching and hitting can't sync.

I used to like the Royals story and all but I hope they get smashed if they advance to WS. Don't like most of their players.

Give credit to em though. They deserve it.

Yup.. Hope they get destroyed

Almost 20 years without an ALCS appearance.its ugly right now, but KC knows how to neutralize us. We've had. Wonderful season given all of the injuries. Next year, we will be healthy and ready

Looking at this lineup adding in Jones' postseason struggles so far in career..

Should've seen this coming

Offense is way too one dimensional and we have steve Pearce hitting 5th..

Got caught dreaming too much I guess

Same. Way way way way too one dimensional. Royals bullpen seems un-hittable. Can't win without clutch hitting

Yeah, I hope they get demolished. Probably not because they're the team of destiny :eyes:

Unfortunately that's what they look like. Woulda/coulda/shoulda been the O's 2 years ago had Markakis been heathy, maybe.

Pretty sure the Red Sox were down 3-0 to the Yanks and won, no? not saying we're going to do it because this team looks pathetic but we wouldn't be the first.

Say what you want about the Royals, but that's a damn well built team. They have an answer for everything. Quality, but not over the top in terms of salary starting pitching, dominant bullpen, high average hitters, a couple guys with power, tons of speed, and a great defense. They've definitely had some lucky breaks, but they're hot right now.

This just sucks would be messed up if they decided to pull out a W tomorrow. They probably will. Is it just me or are they swinging at everything balls that should not even be swung at.

Yep just saw on Twitter, last team to be down 3-0 and win, 2004 Red Sox.

That's the orioles though.. Most people in lineup approach the plate that way

Personally it absolutely annoys me to no end but works for most of the people in the lineup..

Until you get to the postseason when you're facing the teams best pitchers every night

Something about Ned Yost's face when he's standing up. I just wanna punch.

Yeah, just don't like a single member of their team.

I don't really think they're that well built... I just think it's their year, and they've caught lightning in a bottle.

KC deserves it but man, I've never seen a team so lucky/fortunate, whatever you wanna call it. It's kind of unbelievable with the hits and amazing defensive plays they've been getting. Great defensive series all around but man oh man

Or pretty much lucked out we lost Machado to an injury and Davis to a suspension. Don't think KC or any team can beat us when the O's are at full strength. Give us a full healthy team against KC, this ALCS is a different story.

Seriously, its embarrassing. And hilarious.

See Delmon Young's game 2 hit. That is how they SHOULD have reacted. Instead, just stand around and do nothing, never mind the fact their team is 3-0 and one game from the World Series. That's why I said fact when saying they are band wagon fans. TBS had cameras on the fans and most were just standing around like they had loss. It would have been like Orioles are 2-0 one game from sweeping Detroit and the fans at Camden Yards, just standing around not caring.

Though when the Orioles come back and win 4 straight, their reaction will be even more better to see.

Jeremy Guthrie's T-shirt everyone. We need to knock the Royals back down to earth the way the Seahawks have been brought back down to earth.

I'd like to think so, but we'll never know.... I mean Weiters, Davis and Machado probably add a half dozen wins in the regular season... But that wouldn't have helped us any as we had home field after the Angles went down. I'd like to think we could have been situationally better with those guys, but .... Ehh. I don't think it's our year. Sad part is, ITs hard to fathom another AL east title next year...

Its a shame we've played 165 games and then this happens... Beat in every phase - Hitting, starters, bullpen, clutch moments, luck, managing, you name it. Check off every box for the royals. These Royals are what the 2012 Orioles failed to be.. the team of destiny. Doesn't mean i like them though. I'm so rooting for the NLCS winner.

Luckily, we brought in a GM that knows what he is doing. I have no doubt this team will get even better (despite how the outside world thinks our window is closing). Wieters and Machado coming back will help as well. Hopefully we find common ground with Cruz and Markakis contract wise.

I can't stand their arrogance this whole series. A sweep of KC by the NLCS winner would be an Xmas present at this point.

Injuries have really hurt this team, and the Davis suspension. This team would not be 0-3 right now with Machado, Davis, and Weiters in the lineup. I just wonder how many players we are going to lose to free agency. This was our year, but the injury bug bit us again. It would not feel as bad if the Royals knew how to win with class, but unfortunately we can't control things like that. I am still hoping for a miracle.

Well can the O's at least win one? . A sweep would be very embarrassing considering how several Royals players are mocking the team .

Unbelievable how close my A's were to eliminating them and look where they are now. No one got closer than us, I wonder how the playoffs would have turned out if we had not ballsed it up.

Home run teams like the O's rarely win it all . Good pitching always wins out in the end . The broadcasters even verified this with a stat that only one team with the most homers has won it all .

I believe that was a Yankees team .

On the bright side no matter who wins the NLCS the Royals are guaranteed to face a true champion. Those teams know how to act unlike these petulant children in Kansas City.

I thought it would be easy to root for them if we lost but apparently I was wrong. They're acting like we are their long time rival or something. This isn't Ravens/Steelers.

Huh? You guys blew a huge division lead to sink to the WCPIG... You didn't get closer than anyone else... Because a loss is a loss.

I still have hope that we can do the unthinkable, but I'm also a realist and am disgusted with how this team has played... that being said, I will be cheering very hard for the NL representative. The Royals' players have rubbed me the wrong way.
