Raiders fans are pushing hard for the team to sign Jackson.

The people want DeSean Jackson.  The hashtag “DJaxtoOakland” currently is atop the trending topics on Twitter.  For the illtwiterate, this means that thousands of people are including that phrase in messages posted on the social media monster, creating a groundswell for the team to bring Jackson to town.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the Eagles trade up for Beckham or go after Cooks.

I'll be monitoring this year's draft - just to see whether or not the Eagles go for a receiver.  The club's cutting Jackson will serve as the catalyst, I believe.

Surprise, surprise... Andy Reid wants is interested in DeSean Jackson. Chiefs are pursuing Jackson.

That didn't last long. The Chiefs have dropped out of the D-Jax sweepstakes.

This should send up an immediate red flag to other interested teams, based on coach Andy Reid's history with Jackson. Kansas City also has a wide receiver need. Per RapSheet, the Chiefs "did research" on D-Jax, and opted against signing him. Jackson is scheduled to visit the Redskins on Monday. Many national reporters expect Dan Snyder to out-bid the field for 27-year-old Jackson.

Well this somewhat contradicts my last post.

I think Jackson has to go to a winner in order to keep him calm and prevent him from erupting.  But going to Washington and getting a rich pay day from Dan Snyder?  I mean sure, RG3 throwing to him would be intriguing in theory, but him going to Washington just spells disaster.  Wonder if it will happen.

I'm not surprised. I didn't know how the Chiefs would try and get maximum use out of him. Be interesting if he went to the Redskins though.

They cannot afford him. They only have about 5 mil in cap space right now. No red flag, a green flag maybe? (M&T Bank Pun)

Report: Raiders doing "background homework" on Jackson. There is no way Oakland signs him if they are doing background work on him. Plus if the reports are true about the whole gang thing, bringing him to Oakland would be the worst thing to do. I'm thinking he may end up sitting out the season until a team loses an WR to an injury.

Albert Breer of NFL Network reports that the team is still doing “background work” on Jackson. Breer believes the team is aware of the possibility that bringing Jackson back to his home state and the area where he attended in college may result in “added risk” of things going poorly off the field.

I wonder who will take him?

Probably the Raiders!

I'd love to see my boy Tyrod Taylor and Desean Jackson with the Raiders.  Wow!

Going to guess he goes to Washington

No way, I'm hearing Oakland is willing to pony up the cash to sign him. I know DeSean is DeSean and he is a very talented player but if Oakland wants a receiver go and trade up to two with the Rams, or even one with the Texans and grab Sammy Watkins, who looks to be sure a thing at this point.

Teams are pretty much avoiding him like the plague...the fact that Oakland is one of maybe 2 or 3  front runners for him has to tell you the dude has problems off the field. A lot of teams looked at him showing initial interest...than dropped out of the bidding.

Im pretty sure he doesn't have an over the top rap sheet of any kind as far as the law goes...but he has been linked to gang violence now apparently. Accompanied with his arrogant "Moss/Owens" type of attitude, he is definitely trending in the wrong direction for such an explosive playmaker.

With Jackson going to the Redskins now it is a race between Snyder and Jerry Jones to see who has the best 8-8 team in the NFC East.

So they dump DJax for off the field incidents, yet they give Riley Cooper a big contract and now a bigger role?

Evidently, Jackson wasn't well liked by many people in the locker room. One anonymous source told ESPN (I think) that several players were glad to see him gone. This report indicated that D-Jax was cut because his selfish, diva, primadonna, whiny, me first attitude wore thin on the team and they all wanted him out. He also butted heads with Coach Kelly.

I suppose Cooper is well liked in the locker room. I'm not naive, though, and I know that there could be other things going on there. You know that too. But the evidence seems to support that D-Jax was disliked in the locker room and people seem to like Cooper.

If that article is true then that changes things a bit but don't get me wrong I've never been a fan of DJax's ghetto tendencies or his average hands, just asking the question why doesn't he get a pass when the (formerly) closet racist guy does?

Apparently the NFLPA's investigating the Eagles to see whether they were having a go at his reputation with the "gang ties" leak. Be interesting to see what becomes of it.
