couple things i took from it

1-they are still looking at FA to add

2-There picking up the option on jimmy contract for 2015 .

3- Ricky, Jah and the rookie or vet will compete for the RT job

4- for all the whiners out there bout Joe getting with his WR and Playbook. they just got it this week and Joe has set up a informal get together to go over thing with his players so there. now stop it you idiot at 105.7.

5-they want to add Owen daniels and Dickson.

6- they haven't talked to Eric winston yet plus they want to keep KO at LG unless something great happen to be a Guard in FA or draft he staying there.

and last Torrey and Jimmy will be getting extention hopefully before the draft so they can be here long term.

??????????  I really think Dickson is a bad idea - not that he isn't talented, but what I saw last year was Joe clearly deciding after the first half of the season that he just could not trust Dickson and wouldn't throw it to him.

Daniels is fine as long as we plan on drafting a TE still. He knows the system already and would be a great help for the other dudes in that sense. Solid move but only if it's near the vet min.

It's not baffling, we need depth.  We currently have one TE on the roster.

It's not really dumb at all. Daniels maybe be 32 and coming off an injury but that doesn't take way the fact that he's a pretty good tightend/could be a solid backup tightend. I would be interested in seeing how Dickson performs with a different  tight end coach  coaching him. I doubt The Ravens sign both  of them  and thats not really what article is suggesting either.

I thought so, just thought it was weird Schefter tweeted it. Didn't have any context.

@Ravens: Harbs said that with a laugh. Said that the "proof is in the pudding" and we'll all see if the moves work out in the fall.

I dont think the Patriots have had that good of an offseason. Sure they signed Revis, but they might be losing Wilfork. Other than that they signed Brandon Lafell who is mediocre at best.

 

Unless I missed something. Now the Broncos on the other hand, good lord!

Dickson or Daniels are veterans and would fit in well.  Keep in mind they are second string and won't see more than 10 snaps a game.

If that's the case that's good news.  Might be risky with Jimmy Smith, but we could probably get them cheaper now.

The Taylor comment from harbaugh I don't understand. Taylor hasn't played great I understand but with little playing time we haven't had much to go on. Plus the offense has and will always revolve around Flacco's strengths. I could see Taylor as a starter in this league maybe not as a Raven but a reliable player with the right tools and system to work with and not a group of third stringers like the one start he got. If you want a new qb (back up)just say what SHOULD be said. Flacco is the starter and we need a backup that plays like him now that I can agree with. Flacco and Taylor are 2 different types of players maybe in Kubiaks system they wont have to change play calling but in the former systems we did. I think a good qb to draft may be Morris from the U big arm and big qb.

The only good thing about these 2 options is they won't effect the comp picks for 15 and there are no better options on the market. I would rather leave them sit and check our options after the draft. Hopefully with a TE like ASJ or nikklas on the roster.

If I had to choose between the two Dickson still has the greater potential at this point.
