If so, I'll be releasing a framework (kW Fusion) within the next few weeks. Contact me via PM if you would like to be notified when it is available.

It has several objectives in mind:

1. High performance

I have integrated caching modules such as memcached and APC judiciously, where appropriate, in addition to lazy loading and several other strategies.

2. Dead simple to use

We all loved CodeIgniter for it's awesome simplicity. CI users will feel right at home here. Clean, simple syntax and excellent documentation is a big priority for this framework...the goal is to have an environment that is both welcoming for beginners and powerful enough for advanced programmers.

In many ways, I feel this has surpassed even CodeIgniter in that regard. A quick snippet:

$this->model( 'somemodel' );

Loads your model.

Or simply use method chaining to access the model and it's properties:

$this->model( 'somemodel' )->action();

loads your model and executes action(). Easy as pie! No need to load a model, store it, then able to access it.

3. Modern

Amazes me how many frameworks do not come with namespaces or AJAX support, for example. It is 2014!!

Even if you're not interested in using the framework, feel free to talk about PHP or programming in general. :)

Is this being offered for free?

Absolutely! In fact, it is being released under the GNU v.3 license, which means that it is open source software that you can modify and redistribute, if you wish.
