I'm thrilled we got Zuttah....I was just wondering why the Bucs traded him for a draft choice.....his stats look good.....his young and talented.....was this a cap move? Glad it happened, just wondering why? Anybody know the details?

I don't care what PFF said about him he didn't give up a sack last year I'm very happy with that. Just go back and look at film on Gino Gradkowski the ugh got an a for effort but he just doesn't have the strength to get the job done.

IDK for sure but it might cause they signed Dietrich-Smith and Zuttah would be an expensive backup at center, so the Bucs thought what the hell why not get a pick out of it. Win-Win for both parties I guess.

It sounds like we might move up in this draft to get a quality player and to close out the stellar offseason Ozzie has built for us. The most likely players we draft are Ebron, Evans, or Martin, with the possibility of drafting a good linebacker. It'll be fun to watch!

Hmm, according to Pro Football Focus, Jeremy Zuttah did not allow a sack last season and graded out as the 22nd best center last season. How is this guy ranked very low? It seems to me like Jeremy Zuttah actually played well last season and I think he'll get better recognition, playing in Baltimore.

Great pick up, very excited I feel we are going to do great at the draft. We have so many options now and don't forget the comps pick we are getting, I have a feeling Oz is going to move up and make a splash

Im not sure how good Zuttah is but I know he's an upgrade over Gino thats forsure. We traded for him to play C for us, so now we can fill in some other holes through the draft. I can see us trading down if all the top T, FS, or wr that we want are gone by 17. That way we get a couple picks and get some good value players in a talented draft class. Im comfortable with the wr we have as of right now so using a 1-2 rd pick on one is no longer necessary. I can see us going D with our first couple picks. Jimmie Ward might be our guy, I like Gabe Jackson G out of Mississippi. If running the football is what we want to establish this yr the this is our guy. I like KO at G but Big Gabe was dominant in the SEC. In a weaker draft yr he would be ac1st rd pick. We can get him and Jimmie in the 1-3 rd. Maybe a we or te also. Damn I love my Ravens, were always in hunt for the Lombardi every yr.

I think you meant Jensen and unless they but him in at RT or KO hasn't fully recovered, I think the line-up will go something like:

Monroe, K.O., Zutta, Yanda, Wagner (or rookie)

More than likely that's exactly how our line is going to look like.

Last year Tampa had no identity on offense so I don't put to much stock in his ranking. Great deal and a major upgrade saw that he ran under 5.0 in the forty. Oz does it again in my book.

Hopefully this means they won't sign a FA RB now. I think it'll be a waste of cap space to sign a expensive RB just for competition when Rice and Pierce are clearly our best options at RB. Especially now after acquiring Zuttah.

Compete with Gino for the starting job? Their kidding right. With a 4.5 mill cap hit, he better be starting. Ginos not even a back up. As it stands now we have 3 Tackles (Monroe, Wagner, Reid), 2 Guards (Yanda, Osemele), and 4 Centers (Gradkowski, Jenson, Shipley, Zuttah). The Ravens usually Carrie 9 Offensive Linemen. That's 1 to many Centers in my opinion. With AQ and Jenson able to play guard, Gino would be the odd man out if we draft a RT. Reid also could be replaced considering is off field exploits.

I am glad that we got Steve Smith so no "experts" will be like "We should totally get DeSean Jackson"

Something tells me he will be the Daryl Smith of last year.. Good player on a bad team that we will bring to Baltimore.. Put the spotlight on em' and watch him shine!.. Way to go Ozzie. I have faith

22nd best center last season...why do I have a feeling that playing between Yanda and K.O., playing with the Smith bros, Pitta, Flacco, Rice, and potentially Ebron as well, fitting perfectly into Kubiack's scheme, and having some natural rejuvenation from switching teams and coming to an organization like the Ravens will all cause that to change to about the 10-14 range after next year. Incredible pick up Ozzie and the boys, once again hardly giving up anything in the process.

*than...

Anyways, technique/skills are more important than size. It really says something when your Gino is 35th ranked at C when there are only 32 teams.

Apparently, they describe how they rate them on their website and if the game doesn't matter anymore then they give it less credit or something. So, if Tampa was down 20 points in the fourth quater with only like 3 minutes to go, his blocking got little to no credit. It's weird, yeah, but if you think about it, last years Tampa Bay team...now it makes sense.

Can Zuttah run block ? It's time for the Ravens to reestablish the ground game to add balance to Flacco's big play capability. I'll write this off as 'in Ozzie we trust'.
