A little disappointed that we apparently want to play KO at LG still. I'm not fond of that due to his back but oh well. They know better than I do. Wagner and Reid competing for RT. If that's the case I definitely think a RT is in play in the fourth. I think this could be all smokescreen though.

One thing you can believe. Never believe a coach or GM this time of year. Everything is a game of I know that they know that we know what they don't know....you know?

Yeah, I was about to say. Since when did the FO get the reputation for being open and honest about their intentions during the offseason? Did I miss something big during the OC appointment?

#22 ranked Center in the league is STILL a huge upgrade over Gino...

There is also still a bunch of time for Ozzie to work some magic.

Per Rotoworld, apparently Evan Mathis might be on the chopping block with the Iggles. He's one of the few guys I'd want to play LG forcing KO to RT. Only problem, Mathis is 33 and wants more then what he's making now ($5 mill).

Well then damnit pay the man. If there's anyone worth that kind of money he is....

Well, before the Super Bowl season Ozzie said we're going to improve the d-line. We signed two vets and drafted two defensive linemen.

Before the 2013 season, he said we wanted an athletic linebacker, a safety, and a defensive linemen. Then we got Elam, Brown, and Brandon Williams in that order.

At the recent state of the Ravens address, he said we wanted a free safety, a chain moving WR, and stronger offensive linemen. so far, we got Steve Smith and Zuttah.

If you pay close attention, Ozzie does exactly what he says he's going to do. Lol.

I agree. Iggles also want a 3rd rounder for him. Wonder if Oz would consider it after netting that 3rd round comp. He's on the smaller size but would fit the zone scheme I think.

He'll draft a FS early, just don't think in the first.  I dont even recall the last team to have 2 #1s at safety.

I think it's very much a possibility. I could even see Rick Wagner at LG if we moved KO to RT.

Well, Coach Harbough has cleared the issue today in his statement.

LT Monroe - LG Osemele - C Zuttah - RG Yanda - RT Wagner

Also mentioned was Jah Reid will compete with Wagner for RT spot.

They have high hopes for Wagner and it shows here. He is 5th rounder from last year and seems to be on his way up.

So, those who were saying Drafting RT in 1st round, guess what? Not gonna happen.

I believe Ravens will draft O-lineman, but RT spot got pushed on the back burner, maybe like 3rd or 4th or 5th round.

I agree 100%.

We need FS badly, but since we took Elam in 1st last year, I see Ravens going Offense with 1st pick. Could it be TE Ebron?

IDK how much you can read into this, but we met with Elam last year, then drafted him.  I'm pretty sure we also met with both Jimmy and Torrey before drafting them, and the same with Courtney Upshaw.  This year, we haven't met with either of the first round safeties, but we've met with Ebron, Amaro, Benjamin, Evans, Lee, Landry, Norwood, Matthews, Mike Davis (a receiver), and Jacob Peterson (another TE).  We really went heavy interviewing pass catchers.  The only guy I could see that's considered a first round pick on D was Aaron Donald.

We've also met with Ra'Shede Hageman. He might be a first round pick but not at #17.

Hell become the most dominant lineman out of this draft.

Any news yet on the details of the Zuttah contract? Thanks!

Last I heard, the Ravens were still working on an extension/restructuring to save cap room this season.

He may have said that, but I've been around the block along time. But never ever beleive what FO peeps or coaches say before a draft. I have hopes for Wagner, I think he is an upgrade over Oher, but this does not mean we won't draft a lineman. Harbaugh stated a fact for today, but that can change any moment..

Redskins. Sean Taylor and Laron Landry. Too bad it was so brief, only half a season. Laron's rookie year and Sean's last. Those guy would've destroyed recievers

Just out of curiosity, why would we consider moving Osemele ? The man was looking like he was on his way to an all-pro list before inured ? Why move him ? I like thinking that we have above average through elite players at four spots and solving one than having two average poistions on the line. Especially since Joe can see a person coming from his right. And our best lineman is on the right so that would compensate a little for having a young tackle learning.

Personally I am cool with rolling with Wagner and drafting Hurst as late as we think we can get him and see how he develops.

Agree, he played much better at LG than RT in my opinion - he's stated a number of times that he's more comfortable inside, too.

So unless he's HORRIBLE we don't have to worry about C for the next 5 years?

6'4 and 308 lbs.

Ozzie wanted to get bigger up front, and that's exactly what he did.

The thing about Zuttah is that he's a lean 308. He's not a jiggly fatbelly. He ran the fastest OL 40 yd dash at combine in 2008 with a 4.99. He was second in the bench with 35 reps (only Jake Long had more with 38). Zuttah is is fast, strong and mobile/athletic. He's more than big enough for Kubiak's style. He's also smart. Had high grades in school. Grudin (who drafted him) said he was one of smartest OL he ever had. Zuttah is very good blocking in space and upfield. He's not one to get tangled up in others players and trip over each other like last years Raven OL.

In 2006 Lou Holtz said Rutgers had the best OL in the nation and a lot of that was because of Zuttah.
