Jesus, why do people STILL quote PFF as if their opinions mean anything?

Zuttah hasn't given up a single sack in over two years, playing at both C and LG, and PFF would have you believe that he is #22 in the entire league? Whatever

Because no one is going to go back and check tape on interior lineman.  That's a pain man,

Fair enough, but at least go ask fans of the team if you are unfamiliar with someone. I honestly believe "real" fans have a better grasp of their own players than PFF does.

Also, zuttah was playing in the old school Coryelle, as we all know Zone blocking is a whole other thing.  But he certainly has the feet for it.

Yeah. I agree PFF is a joke. He is a solid center. Heard Buccaneers radio guy Booger Mcfarland say Ravens got a very good player. Not top 5 center but very solid. Lovie Smith is cleaning house in Tampa and Zuttah didnt want to move to Guard. So he will be the Ravens starting center and ideal for ZBS.

Love, love, love this move... Should we go O-line in the first, Martin out of ND would be perfect given his flexibility as a G/T - similar to KO.

Ozzie's had one heck of an offseason!

Ozzie's offseason is giving me the most optimism I've felt for the team since right before Suggs went down in 2012.I still believe that Hakeem Nicks was a better option than Steve Smith but with a strong draft we should still be good enough to make a playoff run in the AFC with the squad we have.

Something else to consider is that whenever future draft picks are traded you generally add 1 round to it if it were for the current year. Therefore the 5th rounder we gave up in 2015 would only be a 6th rounder this year.

I read somewhere that the trade worked out this way because we didn't have a 5th rounder to give this year. That makes me wonder why we didn't just trade a 6th rounder this year instead. I get why we would want to keep as many picks this year as possible I just don't understand why the Bucs would be content with waiting until next year.

we went from a ford taurus to a ford fusion at center. its definitely better, but thats not saying much.

still like the move alot though, probably comes real cheap, and with a healthy yanda and KO on each side of him, all we need is someone who can grasp the mental concepts of playing center, which is where gino struggled the most.

From what I read, they were going to cut him anyway. So instead of cutting him and getting nothing, they at least get a pick out of it.  win/win for both organizations.

it isnt just hype about nicks, the guy is a walking(or limping) injury. plus the thing i like the most about the smitty signing because of his toughness and attitude, he intimidates DB's that are twice his size just by running his mouth, always liked steve smith for that, and if we draft the right receiver in one of the first 2 rounds, then we have someone who can take them under his wing.

I am just glad that we have a real, NFL-caliber center again.  Gradkowski simply isn't an NFL-caliber center.  He really hurt us last year and was a significant reason why we couldn't gain yards on the ground OR keep Flacco upright long enough for our receivers to get open.

Love the move. This off season is without a doubt Ozzie's shining moment (of many). It's good to be a Raven fan come whatever! :Dancing_Banana_Homer_by_zorkky:

All my buddies here in Tampa say we got a real good, versatile player. I'm happy.

Tampa, my former stomping grounds :) Sure miss that weather; this winter up here has been miserable

Welcome to Baltimore Zuttah, I don't care what PFF or anyone on this forums opinion is. I'm stoaked, I'm glad he already has a working relationship with Rice and that he's a veteran used to seeing different defenses and making line changes at the LOS.

Better than 110 degrees in the summer in my opinion.

Anyway, I don't know much about Zuttah, mainly because it's hard to follow o-lineman very closely, but he has to be an upgrade over many of the o-lineman we've had in the past. It's also nice to find a guy who can push Geno.

Now we need a right tackle...

He's pushing Gino over to LB (left bench, lol). Dont want to make it sound like he is the second coming; he isn't, but he is in my top 10, for whatever that is worth. After last season, I'm easily excitable

Just watch where Gino is going.    It's a throwing play and his going straight to the middle to catch a ball like a TE

The other linemen were pulling too...looked like a screen to me...

You're crazy, with Gino's skill set he'd be much better at right bench

One thing worried about is Zuttah with a huge paycheck.   His 4.5m for 2014.   Heard it'll be redone before he comes to Bmore.   Hopefully its a more manageable price tag

Some players pan out and some dont. What exactly is your point?

Our priority #1 is still our O-line. Don't be surprised to see if we draft one in #17.

My point was Its better to have solid backup plan, just in case 1st round draft pick doesn't pan out in 8 weeks of NFL. And Yes, I would be Ok if we take O-Lineman in 1st round. I prefer TE Ebron if he is still there at 17. But I admit taking good RT could help us as well.

Would putting Gradkowski at guard and Osemele at tackle be an option? Anyone know?

I think it's very much a possibility. I could even see Rick Wagner at LG if we moved KO to RT.

I like Wagner at LG too. That way, if Monroe gets hurt, Wagner just has to move over a spot.

I'm guessing this is your post.....

What's up Bucc nation?! Ravens fan here.

I was just curious if anyone could tell me more about the player my Ravens are getting in Zuttah. I don't like PFF and don't believe in their rankings... I figure the fans who have watched him play over the years know more than they do. A mini scouting report would be greatly appreciated!

My Ravens need a lot of help on OL and I'm not too familiar with Zuttah, so I don't know what my expectations should be from him.

Also I just wanna let you guys know I'm rooting for y'all in the NFC south. Falcons fans are just as bad as Steelers,Patriots and 49ers. I've never liked New Orleans. I respect the way Carolina has been built but I've had a few nasty run ins with their fans in person.

I think you guys got some great pieces and should be very excited to have Lovie as your HC. It was smart letting Revis go, I just wish he would've stayed in the NFC. Doug Martin is one of my favorite players in the league. He's been a keeper on my fantasy team since he's been drafted. Reminds me of the old Ray Rice! (Ugh). lol

Also one more thing if you don't mind. How did Steve Smith do against you guys last year? Was he matched up with Revis a lot? I know he's slowed down but was it a significant down year for him? I'd love to hear how he competed against Revis. Thanks!

damn...they seem pretty split. Half the board thinks he is a good player, the other half thinks he is good depth, but an average starter. I always thought he was top 10ish, but that may be optimistic.
