Don't know much about this guy. I'm still hoping Omar Brown plays gangbusters this offseason and can crack the roster.

This is a depth guy at the safety position, obviously he's not a FS so not sure why that's even a question.

I'm not so sure about this signing.. I was hoping they go for someone like Champ Bailey for safety and get that veteran presence and know-how in the backfield again. What happened to looking at the safety from miami that people said would be a good fit?

I don't think Ozzie would plan it out like that, only because he doesn't plan his draft that way. Best player avail is best player avail.

We are already deep at safety we need a starter. Maybe this is insurance just in case they don't grab a starting free safety in the draft and have to keep Matt Elam there. They've also kept in contact with Ihegbo so they possibly didn't get anywhere with his negotiations

hmm this could be a good pickup an underated pickup I think Stewart is most likely a safety that usually strip the ball away a lot and plus he could become a good player within this system in Baltimore. But Ozzie knows what he doing so I believe in him.

He will battle with the rest of the young safeties to backup Elams at SS. I believe that is why the door was open for Idhedigbo return. Harbaugh loves competition and not just handing jobs to players. We could still sign Decoud or Clemons.

I think this is a depth signing.  I assume you are referring to Chris Clemons, who is a strong safety.  We are looking for a free safety, so a guy like Thomas Decoud would be a better fit.

I believe they learned there lesson after the Huff signing.  If we are going to put a 35+ year old safety back there it mind as well be Ed Reed.

Depth? Special Teams? Not everyone is expected to be the savior you know.

Between Omar Brown, Anthony Levine, Jeromy Miles, Brynden Trawick, and Matt Elam, i think we had more than enough depth and special teams help as it was. We're not going into the season with 7 safeties on deck, thats crazy.

So what is this? It looks like a practice squad addition to me. Is he starting free safety material for the vaunted Baltimore Defense? I don't know about it...

You never can predict injuries in training camp.  Brynden Trawick could still be on the practice squad next year and even though I like what I heard about Omar Brown he has not cracked the 53 man roster yet.

Not sure what the angle is here... I don't know anything about this player but I would have to assume he is a strong special teamer.
