Desean Jackson on the trade block

He is the definition of a one trick pony, and we already have that one trick accounted for in our arsenal.

And who or what would we be trading for him? We have few enough picks as it is, so we don't need to be giving up any of those. I don't see any players that we are in any need of or would make sense to get rid of.

If it doesn't help the OL, I'm not interested in trading.

Likewise.

He'd also be too expensive after his big season. Just to add another reason to the opposition.

He is a diva and has huge cap hits for the next three seasons.

2014: $12.75 million

2015: $12 million

2016: $10.5 million

Not happening.

We already have our speed guys in Torrey and Jacoby. We don't need another and we don't have the cap space anyways

Couldn't they just end up cutting him? I mean his cap hits are ridiculous and they have Jeremy Maclin, which to me seems like just as strong of a receiver corp as last year. Plus I remember something about him being upset about his contract, so maybe he's causing distractions as well.

I hope the Raiders trade for him - that almost guarantees Sammy Watkins falls a bit, meaning there will be a domino effect on the top receivers.

Watkins could very well go to Jags at 3 or even Rams at 2.

Don't see him going to the Jags, but I do see him going to the Rams at two with Saffold and Long at the tackle positions. If he falls past St. Louis, I see the Bucs pouncing or the Lions trading up.

I believe Saffold will be playing OG for the Rams. If both Bridgewater and Watkins are there at five I'd want Raiders to select Teddy, otherwise I want Watkins.

Well, if Saffold is going to play guard then I'd imagine they'd take Greg Robinson. Gives them a fairly solid offensive line for glass Bradford and gives them insurance in case Long gets injured, again.

I can't see the Raiders taking Watkins with how unsettled that quarterback position is, unless you have faith in Terrelle Pryor and Matt McGloin. I can see Bortles being their pick.

I have Bortles going first overall. I would be fine with signing Schaub or Vick.

I think it's more and more likely that with Bill O'Brian there that we see the Texans grabbing Jadaveon first overall and McCarron or Garrappalo in the second.

Pretty sure Vick is about to be a Jet, and Schaub? I mean, I guess it could be worse...

O'Brien and GM Rick Smith were both very happy and impressed with Bortles' combine. Also John McClain is the beat writer most connected with the Texans and he is very confident they're taking Bortles FWIW. In Oakland, Vick will be undoubtedly starting while in NYJ he'll compete with Geno so we'll see how that goes.

I could see Texans taking Clowney for sure though.

Shaub as the backup might not be the worst thing in the world - at least he has experience in the system.

I've heard plenty about the Texans taking Bortles first overall (I think he's too boom or bust for my taste), but apparently in recent weeks there has been talks about the Texans straying away from taking a quarterback first overall. Maybe their trying to throw up some smoke and mirrors (although, when you have the first pick, is it that necessary?), but I couldn't honestly say.

I would see Vick starting in New York just because I don't think Gino was ready and a year on the bench behind a veteran would at least help him learn. Plus, Marty Mornhinweg was the one who got Vick back on track, so I could see that translating into him starting.

He's proven and would take the guess work out of  a rookie in the early rounds. Why not.? I would if the price is right

I don't think he complements what we'd do here - we need a guy that can make tough catches and be a safety valve long term after Steve Smith is gone, we have speed threats already in Torrey, Jacoby, and Deonte.  Plus Jackson will cost a ton and has played 16 games just twice in his career.

I think he's best suited as a backup at this point.

That's a good point. At the end of the day, I think the Qb for the Raiders will either be Schaub or Bridgewater.

You really think Bridgewater falls from being the first quarterback taken?

Yeah, like I told you I think Bortles is going first and Manziel to the Browns. I don't think the Jags take a QB and will instead roll with Henne. Daniel Jeremiah has Teddy falling to pick 26 lol

I think if you go back and watch the tape, Teddy is the best quarterback in the draft.

I wonder what would cause him to drop Teddy that far...

He had a bad pro day. The logic was even Jamarcus had  good pro day, so it's pretty hard to be bad. Other concerns are body strength and too many check downs.

I agree with you, he's the best QB of the draft.
