for the people worried about steve smith the ravens are very interested in him.

Don't think re-signing Jacoby Jones changes the Ravens plan for adding a slot-type WR or TE at all. They'll still draft or sign one.

Ravens remain quite interested in WR Julian Edelman. Pats want him back too. Other teams in the mix

also well as Alex Mack ravens Really want Alex Mack! no joke!

I'm so happy about this. I was completely against signing him after Houston dumped him, but I have completely changed my mind. He's become my favorite player. So happy he's here for so much longer.

YAY!!!!! we re-signed jacoby.... and in answer... Steve Smith is going elsewhere... according to the Rumor Mill

I guess I'm not sure why retaining Jacoby would mean we'd have no interest for Smith - or any other veteran WR.

Ozzie talked about adding WR ... JJ is not an add, hes' a status quo. Certainly an add can mean adding a WR in the draft, but I'm thinking the FO will be more than happy to add a WR that can help game 1 and would love a vet - especially a tough, in-traffic, sure-handed guy to bridge to our draft pick. Our FO is not usually of the mind that they want to take rookie draft picks and ink them in as starters on game 1.

We will not be running the Texans offense. Harbs said this will be the Ravens offense. I still want Edelman or Smith. We can scratch of Decker, Nicks, Sanders and James Jones though. I would like Smith, Brown, Edelman or Smith, Jacoby, Draft pick, Mellette. Deonte Thompson will be cut.

The Dragonfly did come back down I-95 from NY and got off at the Russell Street exit!

Splendid!!!

I still would like to see Aaron Mellette break into the 45-man roster as a reserve Receiver/ST player even if it means taking a couple plays away from Jacoby!

Just the news I was looking for, a big signing and this bit of news is awesome. I'm so very glad for JJ, as well as the RAVENS team and fanbase. This is terrific news and even if we're not spending left and right for big name, high-dollar players, we're keeping some of our own talent, which is the best way to go. So, congratulations to JJ and our team's FO / coaching staff. It's going to be an exciting season, no doubt, especially with Jacoby returning to our team, and hopefully returning some kicks all the way, as well!

I didn't see this one coming. Hopefully the contract details are out soon.

Is it just me, or is the background on Josina's facebook page a little odd. Those pictures look "too" professional.

This is a shocker, everybody had him as being cut due to cap. Kick returning remains an exciting part of Ravens football, good signing.

i feel like we only need to make two signings, maybe three.. a wr(particularly nicks), fs(probably decoud OR give obrown a shot), and cb if graham doesnt get re signed.. try for cromartie or rogers cromartie

Guessing here, but Jacoby Jones likely to have around a $1.875M Cap # for 2014. Guessing $4.5M guaranteed = 3.5M bonus $1M base for 2014

He was accurate on the Monroe cap hit.

Everyone - can you think back to a time before Jones? When we had lost faith in Reed due to critical turnovers and we were rolling out Zibby or Carr or a potted plant to return kicks and just prayed for a touch back or fair catch on every special teams play?

I can ... and those are not fond memories ...

Jones ... A fan favorite and a dangerous player. So glad to have you back!
