I'm with RavensRack. Smith and Daniels would be great additions. NO to Edelman. Product of the system. Period. Why do you think the Pats don't mind him walking? No thanks.

Name the last player NE has broke the bank on... I'll wait... NE will let anybody walk thats no surprise.. and if I remember correctly NE ran the ball alot more times and effectively than it has in recent years , yet Edelman still managed to put up great numbers.. Say what you want but I beleve its all but a done deal that if he aint in red white and blue.. he'll be in purple and black. Especially if JJ walks

McClain coming back makes Daryl Smith less of a priority st this point. Theres no way Ozzie and the FO doubts Nick Saban in having a positive influence over Rolando this past year.. The kids only 24 and 700,000 I believe is his Salary?.. It must be Raven Nations birthday because thats a gift.

Personally, I think this guy is a clown and has had plenty of chances to clear his name. Whats with wiping your twitter account after making statements about making a come back?

Ravens cannot afford to have another player make them look like a fool for signing them this month.

Much rather get Daryl Smith back and let Rolando end up with the Jets

I wonder how much of a clown the average 24 year old is in todays world.. Smh.. Give him a break.. You ought to be ashamed at bashing a man for supposedly deleting his twitter account (which I was just on on my lunch break today) in a world where athletes and stars are critisized all the time for their social media behavior.. in my opinon if in fact he did it.. it was to avoid any distractions.. that he is fully focused and committed towards his comeback.. that the grind is on.. glass half empty or half full kind of situation.. He's technically still a Raven and so am I for Life so I will stand behind until further notice..

Ozzie gor Monroe, now do what it takes to retain D Smith and Graham especially since Karlos Dansby and D.Jackson are both gone and Smith is the only 3 down MLBr that is legit left. And unless your getting Revis or Cromartie, or Talib, Oz better retain Graham for 3rd Corner.

Other moves I would approve.. D.Ware or Julius Peppers both who are cut, you never have enough Pass Rush 2 HOF calibur players for a 2-4 year deals to end their career that would be perfect. Steve Smith if he gets cut...

Oh... Oz pick up a Center dietrich -Smith, or Mack and if not one of then maybe someone gets cut but upgrade GINO.

So the only hole on the line is RT

should resign Oher instead of getting someone else to learn the system, whens the last time he missed a game, O-Line problem wasnt his fault and hes a workout warrior, oh yeah who was it that said i was crazy to mention Emmanuel Sanders?!!! players from your rivals are always smart, dontcha remember Kordell Stewart? while we're at it should pick up Lamar Woodley to run after QBs, hey Ozzie you need an assistant?!!!

Ravens nation question Julius Peppers just got cut, what do you think about signing him to a 2 yr deal to go into rotation with Suggs, canty and Dumerviel? Thoughts people. Plus give McClain another chance and have him and Authur Brown pair up at middle lbs. Vet. dline with a young lb crew could even out

"The Ravens need a Julian Edleman...and STILL draft a Mike Evans or Marquise Lee or Eric Ebron...in that order. I really hope we can finally have a awesome receiving corps. I would love to see Flacco having an entourage of targets...Torrey Smith, Mike Evans/Marquise Lee/or Eric Ebron, Julian Edleman, Dennis Pitta, Marlon Brown...yep, and this is leaving us with plenty of cap space if done right..."

That would really work if the Ravens play with 2 QBs and 2 balls at every down.

The Ravens are not going to dismiss Smith because of McClain. It's not even close. McClain has proven nothing. To say that the Ravens might abandon Smith or stall him in favor of McClain is preposterous.

What were the holes that we needed to fill?

LT

C(Competition)

RT(Competition)

WR#2

RB#3

TE#2

DE(Competition)

ILB

CB#3

FS

What holes does it look like we're actually trying to fill?

LT (Signed Monroe)

C (Mack was the backup plan, but I guess he's history now?)

WR#2 (Edelman(I don't like this one) Steve Smith (Love it) Where's Hakeem Nicks?

TE#2 (Pettigrew (Love it if he can stay healthy and we can use him right) Owen Daniels (Maybe)

ILB (Rolando McClain might be coming back so they don't plan on breaking the bank for Daryl Smith)

What does this tell me so far?

I believe the Ravens organization are very deep into turning our offense around completely. I believe their goal is to have the #1 Offense next year, unlikely and crazy to think about, but that's what the goal is supposed to be. After signing a mastermind at OC in Kubiak, bringing in a new QBs Coach (Dennison(Flacco always does better with a QBs coach and it makes it better that Dennison and Kubiak are best friends), a new RBs Coach in Hammock, a new WRs coach in Engram, a new TEs coach in Pariani, and keeping the same offensive line blocking scheme and coach in Castillo. Controversial or not, keeping a little continuity at OL will be good for our players, examples are Monroe and Castillo. Signing Pitta and Monroe to cap friendly deals and creating all that extra cap space make it so we can make a play for good WRs, TEs, and the OL.

I don't want us to forget though that having a run stopping ILB and DL can help pass rushers Terrell Suggs and Elvis Dumervil do their exciting part of the job and therefore help the offense by never making them catch up from behind. I think we should focus on the offense, I do, but please go and get some marquee players on defense as well!

Players I like for defense in free agency are Henry Melton and if Rolando McClain isn't an option bring back ILB Smith. If they wanted to shore up the defense even better they'd sign Melton and Jarius Byrd.

If we are going to get any RB in Free Agency this offseason it has to be Darren Sproles. The amount of check downs Joe Flacco does requires a RB with good hands, and the ability to take off right away; that is Darren Sproles specialty. Rice has lost a step in this department sadly. If Ozzie thinks Sproles will cost to much, or we spend cap money elsewhere, then we are definitely drafting a young RB in the 3rd round.

Yes, but any receiver we get is coming in as a slot type WR to make tough. Think of it this way... they want to find a younger Boldin.

So if Boldin was on the team in 2013, what percentage of the time do you think Marlon Brown would have been on the field? Its entirely conceivable that he would have been a gameday inactive for the majority of the season.

I agree that everybody plays a role, which is why I identified Brown as a "role player". His role will be situational, and in particular, probably as a depth player with upside in the red zone.

That's not the kind of description you give to a #2 WR. That's the kind of description you give to a #3 or 4 WR.

You are probably correct re 2013 if Q stayed with us. But for next season, I don't think your assessment of Brown is accurate - he'll be way better than you think. All of our receivers will if everybody stays healthy.

Now that the Saints have signed S Byrd, and the Steelers signed S Mitchell, I believe we will now sign TE Owen Daniels, or WR Steve Smith (hopefully both). Then draft either S Clinton-Dix or S Calvin Pryor in the first round, and maybe bring in a veteran safety at a minimum type amount, such as Champ Bailey, Ed Reed, maybe even Ryan Clark, to guide the young Defensive Backs, and be a safety blanket incase our new Rookie Safety is not completely ready to start. Then draft a young Receiver in the 2nd round, and a young RB in the 3rd.

Come on Ozzie stop playing around. Corey Graham Corey Graham Cory Graham please...hello. Do we really want Chykie in the nickel...that would be a bigger drop off than Birk to Gino. Compound that with the fact that we have no free safety and the fact that Corey is a beast special teams player. Just sign Corey and Darryl Smith. I know you love CJ Mosley but Darryl is a good value especially the way he played last year. No need to sign other peoples' trash. Just sign our good players.

Chykie is actually a good corner. He's not a starter but I think he can handle the #3 corner spot. I remember his best game when he shutdown his side of the field versus the Giants 2 seasons ago. He just needs to put up those kinds of performances more consistently, but he has shown signs that he can cover 1 on 1. If we lose Graham than I think Harbaugh will feel confident in replacing him with Chykie, and Chykie would finally get a chance at becoming a starter. But I agree, I would really like to have Graham back.

Depending on the price, Edelman and Sanders could be an either or situation. I'm also beginning to think that the Redskins' plan is to use us to develope their secondary.

Rolando McClain deserves a chance to redeem himself. he is young and made some bad choices . I believe that he showed a lot maturity taking the year off and take care of his issues. this could be the best year of of his career thus far. who out there hasn't made a few bad choices at that age.. It's not going to break our bank and it could be a great fit for both the Ravens and McClain. ppl need to back off this kid and give him a chance .... that's just my opinion ...

I agree but NFL.com has said that the Saints have switched over to trying to trade Sproles instead since he commanded so much attention. I dont see BAltimore trading for him.. But we would deff look into signing him if released.

Gotta have patience. We all know by now that Ozzie doesn't pull the trigger until he gets a reasonable deal worked out. Monroe is the perfect example. Ozzie saved a couple mil by not panicking, and letting Monroe test the FA market.

I dont think they will completely walk away from Daryl Smith. However, if he wants to play hardball in negotiating we all know ozzie will turn around and walk out. He signed Rolando last year for a reason. and as far as proving nothing.. your wrong.. he's proven that his life is more important than football (maturity).. and he's proven he's passionate about the game in wanting to return.. at age 24 for 700,000/yr low risk.. potentially gigantic reward.

True, except for the fact that the Dolphins already signed him for a 1-year contract yesterday.

I don't understand why Mack is only a backup plan. The Ravens had better come up with a center or they will be in the same jackpot that they were in last year. We had Monroe last year, doesn't help much when the rest of the line doesn't know whats going on when the center can't make the correct line calls

Well... they also had AQ at LG which certainly didnt help much. KO could have helped that line a lot.
