@Jamere23 obviously none of our FO believes our current safeties have what it takes, obviously he did not make plays or they would have started him opposite of Matt Elam, So an obvious observation is our FS is currently not on the roster, we will find one in FA or draft HA HA in the draft. that is what we are looking at. Our current FS's are only there for depth thats it, no true starter amongst the ground

I don't like clark, i don't like ANY of "them" and i don't like anything ABOUT "them". u can neg me all you want but as a TRUE DIE-HARD raven fan, i hate the steelers with a passion and i will never welcome one of "them" on our team, but if it ends up happening there is nothing i can do about it and im fine with that. but i still won't like him even if he is a raven uniform

@allblackraven WE DONT NEED A STRONG SAFETY WE HAVE ONE. Tired of people thinking they are the same position they are not. And only a select few can play both FS and SS and be productive. We are looking for a STARTER... NOT a player to come in and sit and learn. if we dont get a STARTING FS in the FA, just know If Ha Ha falls to us, we will draft him at 17th overall. Just like we got Elam last year with our first pick. They want a PLAYMAKER, not a sit and learn/special teams safety. We have enough of those on our damn team

QUOTED FROM NFL.COM ABOUT JIMMIE WARD.

DRAFT PROJECTION Rounds 6-7

BOTTOM LINE Wiry, active, aggressive strong safety at his best playing downhill and reacting to plays in front him. Lacks starter-caliber size, instincts, range and cover skills, but could serve as a backup and special-teams contributor.

@allblackraven cbssports.com/ has him in round 2

nfldraftscout.com also has him in the 2nd round

but it goes back to the fact he is a strong safety that plays down hill, we need a FS to play center field opposite of Elam, not another Elam back there.

@ravens4life86, I agree, if their talking about bringing in Clark, they minds as well talk to Reed about coming back for a year. Just makes more sense imo.

@TyGuzzo21 your wrong Rod Woodson was a steeler and accepted in baltimore as a raven

To be fair, that was before the re-alignment when the Titans and Jags (Eddie George vs Ray Lewis) were our biggest rivalry.

I really don't know about this team anymore. Patriots were trying to get Ed Reed before he resign with the Jets. What does that really tell ya? Ravens secondary sure could use someone experienced back there. These guys are going to get torched. How many sacks did Ravens have in the second half of the season?

Yes, Rod Woodson was accepted by Baltimore all the way back in 2002 when the Raven-Steelers rivalry was nothing!! (maybe in the beginning stages), but the point is that in this day-in age, no Steeler will ever be accepted in Bmore. And if they are, your not a true Ravens fan PERIOD

I'd get Thomas Decoud. He had an off year after a pro bowl year. I'd trade out of the first and get RT Cyrus Kouandjio and

C Marcus Martin. Then FS Terrence Brooks and WR Jarvis Landry. Joe's not hurt in for targets right now with Pitta and Jacoby back.. Steve Smith.. and Kyle Jusczyzk increased roll.

I don't know... what does the fact that Ed Reed is still a UFA with pretty much no interest from anybody tell you? If the Pats wanted him so bad... why isn't he a Patriot right now?

@Ravens07 Pryor = Strong Safety | Clinton-Dix = Free Safety

Ravens = Needs Free Safety

Looking at the tape, Pryor has as much, if not more, range than Clinton-Dix. It doesn't matter where he played in college. They also ran the same exact 40 time: 4.58.

Pryor will almost certainly be playing FS in the NFL.

Haha is not NFL starter caliber.

I honestly see Jimmie Ward moving to cornerback in the NFL. It fits his size and he has really fluid hips. He seems to be better in man coverage than zone.

Ryan Clark would be a quality signing at the right price. Hey, he even came to the Ravens locker room after one of our games; he's been yearning to be here for a while.

Oh, BTW - Ward is the size of Ed Reed, had 95 tackles and 7 picks last season and is a hell of a player. Have you ever watched him play? He is projected late 2nd round but we might not even see him on the board where we pick in 2nd.
