#Ravens struck deal with Jacoby Jones while he was visiting #Giants. Lucky for him, it's just a short train ride to Baltimore

Does anyone know how we started yesterday with 26 million and now we only have 15.7 million. I don't fully understand this because monroe is only getting 3.25 mil this year, so where did it all go? Thanks for the help

Hey,,,,,,Ravens reach 4 yr deal with Jacoby

r u sure? i'm not seeing it anywhere

Seattle Seahawks 2013-2014

Not being a smart alec...just saying brother lol BTW I don't want Revis either. I want FS Kendrick Lewis from Kansas City and Henry Melton from the Bears. They shouldn't be too expensive and they're quality players. I'm super-psyched about the Alex Mack news though!

what news about Alex Mack? i knew he was a fallback  option but i thought we stopped targeting him after we signed Monroe

If the Jacoby-deal becomes official, Im calling it the best off-season I've ever witnessed... before the draft and other acquisitions even happen.

That might only be the base salary? Other sums might be involved?

Things like that can happen.

Oh boy... so far we've kept two UFA's everyone took for granted would leave - Monroe and Jacoby.

Can't recall the last time such thing happened... Usually we lose all the UFA's we're projected to lose... Art Jones is gone, we may still lose Corey Graham (let's hope we won't) - but still this is shaping out much better than expected.

Apparently the Ravens signed Jacoby Jones to a four year deal. It's just not posted on any of the websites so I'm wondering if that's legitimate, anyone know?

Aaron Wilson tweeted it - in no uncertain terms. "Ravens reach four-year agreement in principle with Jacoby Jones, team announces".

If stated as "team announces", then that sounds official. Don't know terms yet. That will be interesting to hear

It ticks me off that they automatically got them winning the AFC Championship....  WAIT...didn't they do that two years ago????  ...and they had them winning the SB last year too.....  SMH....  They are NOT unbeatable... nor will they be this year either.

True that, Mom! I love watching "Dream Teams" crash and burn!

They were also saying that Seattle's sound thrashing of the unstoppable Broncos' offense is fueling all the inflated FA interest in Safeties and Pass-rushers,...  bohica  :surrender:

Yet, Ware is the "missing piece" in Denver? :268213:

I find it amazing that we are even talking to Mack. I still don't think we'll end up with him, simply because I think we'll need to expend too much of our limited resources to obtain him and have too many other areas that we want to address. But, they could be creative with cap and make something work. I'll just be very surprised.

The most important takeaway from our engaging with him is this: It speaks volumes on what their opinion of Gino is going forward. They would not be entertaining a guy like Mack if they had any serious thoughts of Gino being a year away and are looking only for a stop-gap until he's ready to take over the position for the future.

Securing Daryl Smith and Corey Graham, then acquiring Alex Mack would be a FA Coup de Grace!

IMHO that's what an extremely successful FA opening would look like!

Plenty of room for additions in July and August!

It was a lot more than their secondary that got them there.... I know... They did use that secondary against Peyton and Co.

Very true. That defense is just completely solid all around. Maybe not now though lol Red Bryant, Clemmons, two or three defensive backs all gone in the first two days of free agency plus their WR Tate. No repeat for them.

If we don't go after Nicks or Smith I'm gonna be a little disappointed but it won't be the end of the world. With that said I really hope we don't get Edelman or Sanders. We have enough speedy and small guys on the field. We're missing that big sure handed receiver that isn't affraid to get dirty up the middle. Someone like MIKE EVANS... Go after him Baltimore

Im a little worried about our backfield. Idk whats happening with Graham & we need an FS. I'm not sold on Jones being a No.2, so I'm just gonna assume Ozzie is trying to bring in a big possession WR for us or draft one.

The figure on Jacoby's deal makes it certain he's not brought back as a #2 target. Clearly no higher than #3, possibly lower.

You don't get a veteran #2 wideout for 3.5 million per year - especially with the return prowess of Jacoby...

I can't help but think that Steve Smith is the prototypical Raven. It makes a lot of sense to go after him for the right price.

He may regret that.
