am i the only one who has been frustrated seeing free agent targets move around and it seems that we haven't done anything of significance since the excellent Monroe signing...what happened to the 'aggressive FA offers' i get that we work in secret most times (i mean look at the Kubiak signing) but this is ridiculous i have yet to hear a peep from them since Eugene...if anyone can prove me wrong send me a link or something but i've exhausted my resources here

This is what Ozzie does... he lets the market come to him. I wouldn't be concerned or frustrated. We'll have an improved roster when it matters.

True, except for the fact that the Dolphins already signed him for a 1-year contract yesterday.

Yeah I just seen that after I posted the comment. So many big moves yeaterday that one flew under the radar.

I want D Smith desperately. I think Edelman should be a Raven. Exactly the kind of receiver Ozzie said we needed. He would be an Awesome weapon for Joe, a first down machine.

@RavenManiac#7 i would much rather have Golden Tate than Julian Edelman, I think he has more upside, younger and won't command a crazy price, Edelman is also a injury risky WR while Golden Tate haven't been that Seahawks and Ravens use a similar offensive system and yeah Edelman will have to adjust a completely different system if he signs with Ravens. So I just pray and hope for Golden Tate.

"The Ravens need a Julian Edleman...and STILL draft a Mike Evans or Marquise Lee or Eric Ebron...in that order. I really hope we can finally have a awesome receiving corps. I would love to see Flacco having an entourage of targets...Torrey Smith, Mike Evans/Marquise Lee/or Eric Ebron, Julian Edleman, Dennis Pitta, Marlon Brown...yep, and this is leaving us with plenty of cap space if done right..."

That would really work if the Ravens play with 2 QBs and 2 balls at every down.

I hope that last sentence was a joke, because I really liked everything else you said. All those weapons really Would be awesome, and for anybody that might think it might be overkill, just remember last year and how the loss to injury with Dennis Pitta affected our offense. Yes, it was only One reason it stunk, but still, it was a huge contributor. An injury or two, which can Never be discounted, would still leave us with weapons under your scenerio.

A bit OFF - but have the Broncos beeen granted exemption from the cap limit or what??? They have grabbed Talib on a "mega-deal", landed TJ. Ward and now DeMarcus Ware... The heck? Super Bowl teams' rosters are usually ransacked and looted the following summer, not muscled up even more...

D ware off the board to the Broncos, 3 for 30.. Come on OZ sign somebody. There are plenty of our guys left Graham, D Smith, and quality players who are cut that dont cost picks, like Peppers, likely Steve Smith, Antonio Cromartie, Champ Bailey, likely Revis,

Get somebody

Thanks for your reply and thoughts, but we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. I want Nothing to do with Tate, but the tough of adding Edelman excites me tremendously. Ain't it funny how two hard core Ravens fans can disagree? I guess that's what makes the world go round. Keep on "Ravin"', man.

Without intending to be negative, I guess you should really get familiar with the way Ozzie usually handles free agency. The Ravens usually appear in the rumours much, much less tahn now, in the opening days. Since our cap space is usually severly limited - due to haveing a good roster with quite some expensive plaers on it - we have no chance of landing any of the Big Name free agents - they are all way too expensive for us.

So, hate to break it to you, but you better get used to it: the first wave of free agency is almost always very, VERY quiet for the Ravens.

I agree Edelman would be huge in B-More.. Not only doees he make us better but taking him off the Pats makes one of our heated rivals worse off.. So Ozzie should find a way to get him here.. Id be one of the first to buy that #11 in all black!

Cromartie possibly* if Grahm goes elsewhere.. Peppers if he's still available in mid April everybody else will be either long gone and or dont belong in Baltimore.

Edleman had one good year and so many of you are acting like he is going to be the savior. Remember Gronk was hurt, Amendola was hurt, and it was either Edleman or 2 other rookies for Brady to pass to. Acting like he is the truth, but in all honesty we would be better off just drafting a wide receiver in the 2nd round of this deep draft class instead of overpaying for Edleman. If he is that big of a game changer at the level that some of you expect, then the Pats would have gone out of their way to keep him. We have more important holes to fill, and cheaper receivers out there.

Not exactly.. Their front office is just smart and crafty in structuring their players deals.. The Broncos have some high paid FA's on the market right now that they arent signing.. D-RC.. Wesley Woodyard.. Eric Decker.. Moreno.. They cut Bailey.. The money is there.. They were predicted to be big spenders and to no surprise they have made the biggest and probably the best moves thus far.

Name the last player NE has broke the bank on... I'll wait... NE will let anybody walk thats no surprise.. and if I remember correctly NE ran the ball alot more times and effectively than it has in recent years , yet Edelman still managed to put up great numbers.. Say what you want but I beleve its all but a done deal that if he aint in red white and blue.. he'll be in purple and black. Especially if JJ walks

I agree totally with you, and hope you're right about the last part, that he's coming here. NE did Not let him walk. They did, after all, offer him a Three year contract. It may not have been enough to suit Edelman, but a 3 year offer from NE, says something. I don't know what that other guy was talking about. Signing Edelman would, to me, be the absolute Best FA WR we could get. I've been saying that on here for weeks. I mean, for Pete's sake, Ozzie described him to a T when he described what kind of receiver he felt we needed.

Yeah, I know they are subject to the cap limit too :) - and I meant it more as a nod of acknowledgment towards the Broncos FO for making it possible... Give credit where credit is due - the Broncos FO have been doing some terrific job ever since drafting that certain QB in the first round a couple of drafts ago :D

(I still wouldn't trade them for Ozzie, no way ;D)

My friend.. Name the last player NE has quote "gone out their way to keep".. Dont bother looking it up cause you wont find anything.. As far as pointing out all the injuries.. you simply solidify the fact that he makes plays.. He was the #1 target in NE last year and tore it up.. In baltimore he'd be the slot.. the #3 target behind Torrey Smith and Dennis Pitta.. So one is to believe that if he can perform the level he did being the "go to guy" irregardless of his QB.. he'd be an ideal fit on a team looking for a #3 target.. Are their cheaper recievers possibly.. are they a better fit for Baltimore.. probably not..There is a reason that Baltimore is a predicted landing spot for Edelman

Bronco's FO is smart. but not so smart. They way over paid for talib. ward is good price. and ware is good price if he's back to form. but 60 million in guaranteed money to 3 players with 2 of them being injury prone is a lot.

i know we're not getting big names like revis, byrd, or maybe even mack but don't you think we should try to fill atleast some of our safety depth with Clemmons or with cb someone like Walter Thurmond III cuz it looks like we aren't keeping corey we need strong safety help. I'd be okay, to an extent, if we didnt sign free agents and atleast sign more than two  of our own players player (even though tht signing shows just how great Oz is) i get we won't be able to sign all the people we want/need but we need to do something

Everyone is signing with Denver because it is now legal to Puff there. Lol They basically have signed all the top defensive players. How I don't know. Would love the Ravens to go after Chris Harris. He is better then Corey grahm. Ask Flacco.
