Very much agree about Jacoby. If whats-his-face hadn't run into him in Denver, JJ would have been a Pro Bowler again last year. Looked like he was just about back to form when he came back. Now, with a quiet off season for him (no dancing shows), he should be real strong again this coming season. A game-changer like Jacoby doesn't come around that often... and he does his thing in big games, and in big moments.

Matt Zenith reporting Rolando McLain to return to Ravens this season. http://www.carrollcountytimes.com/blogs/sports/ravens/source-rolando-mcclain-telling-people-that-he-plans-on-playing/article_d7d69996-a875-11e3-a22a-0019bb2963f4.html?mode=jqm. If true and he is all together and stays out of trouble (yeah right) he could truly bolster the ILB position. Lots of hoping and wishing here.

I'd be delighted to see Jacoby back.

If we do sign the 'Dragonfly' I wonder if Doss is still an option to hold on to?

I'm not sure why we haven't heard anything about Deonte Thompson! I guess we'll see how he factors in or is dangled in a package once FA starts!

I'd rather sign a guy like Darren Sproles to help with 3rd downs and return game. And then we can also find a real number 2 wide receiver because JJ just frankly isn't good enough as a wider receiver.

Ask and you shall receive...

Ravens declined to tender restricted free agent WR Tandon Doss a contract, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Doss would have been due $1.431 million under the low tender, a price he isn't worth. The 2011 fourth-rounder has caught just 26 career passes, and isn't an impact special teamer.

from what we saw from mellete last preseason, I liked, alot of potential upside to the kid, i get its preseason and he was against the second and third receivers. But you can just tell he wants it, he wants to be in position to make plays and be apart of the 53 man roster. IMO

Smith/Marlon/Pitta/Evans/Mallette/McCluster I kinda like that WR Core, just a thought

I second that. We need a Offensive line not another unproven rookie receiver.

Branden Albert deal 'almost' done with Miami, according to Wilson. Of course, this can't be made official until 4 PM tomorrow, but let's assume it is true ...

Then that's one less suitor for Monroe and it was the suitor that was rumored to have the most interested in Monroe. It makes you wonder why Miami, who had openly expressed a desire to go after him, went in a different direction. They may have started to get the sense that he would be staying put, while Albert was going to hit the market without question.

The saga continues ...

Woodley is being cut ... another fixture in the Ravens - Steelers rivalry gone. He's certainly not a fit here ... will be interesting to see who lands him, what he gets and whether he has anything left in the tank.

I think even if we just work on finding a better center, and locking up either our LT or RT we are pretty well set as far as a offensive line stand point. Alot of our line decisions come down to whether or not they can fit Kubiaks offense. i wouldnt be surprised if we let both our LT and RT walk and find ones better fitting in our offense

I see you did not watch the pre-season games.

Yup, I did. But I also keep perspective when watching pre-season games.

For example... there once was a guy named Tommy Streeter... he was an awfully good pre-season player also.

id agree, but with out regular season experience we wont know, why sit on players for 3 years that havent produced when we can give someone like mallette a go, if he fails he fails, but if there is signs of potential growth then we know hes worth staying around.

deonte Thompson and tandon doss, have had how many chances to prove themselves? yea tandon did much better after coming back but still not sold on him
