Will Mason Do The 10k?

5 posts in this topic

From the NFL.com Ravens-Steelers Game center:

The model of consistency: Baltimore's leading receiver, Derrick Mason, had three catches for 60 yards and one touchdown last week against the Redskins. This week, he'll try to reach a milestone against the best pass defense in the league -- he needs 105 receiving yards to reach 10,000 for his career.

That would be a little icing on this wins cake.

Ike Taylor was assigned to cover Randy Moss and TO the past two weeks. They totaled 7 ctaches for 75 yards. Ike shut down every receiver he has covered this year. (including Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Santana Moss and a bunch more) Its unlikely the Steelers and Ravens offense total 105 yards anyway!

Possibly, but Ike will have his hands full. Mason isn't a big name but he can pull off magic on the sidelines.

He is very underrated. If we don't respect his ability then Ike might not even cover him every play. Thats when he will have a chance and breaking off a long one.

I dont know about this week, 105 yards is a good bit. I say he probably gets 50-70 yards. He is definitely gonna get his though, because he runs the best routes in the NFL and will be open at least a few times
