Vaping (E-Cigs)

17 posts in this topic

About a year ago, I stopped smoking real cigs and switched to vaping. I was wondering if anyone else here vapes e-cigs on here too? If so, what kind of set up do you have? I currently have a nemesis mod with the aero tank. I am eventually going to switch to a full mech mod, but I want to learn more about how to re build the coils before I do. Also, for those who do vape, I was wondering what Vape Shops you all shop at? I have been going to Vape Dojo(Ellicott City), Vape Vine(Millersville), Vape Frog(Severna Park) and 2 Vapes(Cape St. Claire, Annapolis) and The Vapors Knoll(Pasadena), they are all great stores with awesome products, juices and employees who are all very knowledgeable on vaping. So is there any other vapers out there in Ravens Nation? Vape on...

Also, my favorite e-cig juices are Vanilla Custard and Gum Fu Panda from Vape Dojo, Schnozzberry and Dragon Drop from The Vapors Knoll, G2's Blue Pop Shock and Vazilla, Mister E's Pure Michigan from 2 Vapes, Vape Frogs Code Red and Blueberry and Time Bombs Pixy from Vape Vine.

Yes, it's 110% legal, no foreign language, it's not a street drug or anything like that. Just an alternative way of smoking cigs to those who are dependent on nicotine. As of right now, you can use e-cigs indoors at any public place, though I personally don't out of respect to others. You can choose how much nicotine that you want in your juice and tamper down the nicotine percentage level to help fully quit cigs and e-cigs. You could even get e-cig juice without nicotine, and just enjoy vaping for it's flavor and as a 'hobby'. All the Vape Shops/Stores that I mentioned are licensed and are located in Maryland.

Is this some sort of foreign language? Is this legal?

They're very legal, although in NZ they can't be sold as an assistant to quit smoking. The Ministry of Health here is still a bit iffy on them, although studies are coming out that say they're far healthier than cigarettes (the idea being that the damage from cigarettes comes from the smoke as much as the toxins).

We don't have any dedicated stores here, mind, and not much interest in an already small market doesn't help that. They're all in the legal highs stores. :P

You can order online from most the stores that I listed above. If you want any links, I can get them for you.

I've never smoked or vaped, I just ran a news story about them a while ago. Had a chat with a few folks in the know, including the CEO of one company (who was a right bellend tbh), and it sounds like they'll take off in a big way in NZ in a few years.

Just found the topic interesting because it reminded me of that. :)

A friend who was in one of those quit smoking programs was told not to use the e-cigs because they are totally unregulated and could contain even more harmful chemicals than cigarettes. It's like nutritional supplements: no one knows what's really in them.

That's why the MOH here has the stance I mentioned higher up the page. The evidence emerging looks fairly good for e-cigs at this stage, but the Government here still isn't convinced. As a result, their legal status is basically in the same ball park as adult novelty items: kind of a "go nuts but at your own risk and don't expect us to do much if you get stung" thing.

BTW a very sincere and hearty congratulations to those of you who have quit smoking. Its a pretty amazing accomplishment. It will likely be one of the best descisions you have ever made.

Yeah I plan on quitting everything completely but I have been getting into mods with vaping and it's becoming a hobby which is kinda back firing the whole quitting thing. Lol

Yea same here, haha. It's sad, I had full intentions of quiting by using the vaping method, but as time goes on and new devices, juices/flavors come out, it's been hard. If you have FB, I recommend checking out the 'Maryland Vapors' group. A lot of helpful people, with no drama.
