Agreed with arnie_uk. The grace period was meant for the posts saying that GM A wants to bid on Player A. The initial bidding line is not subject to change and is always final.

this, we cannot make an exception on this otherwise, every single bid just after the "over" post would be able to be contested.

1)  You have to out bid me.  A tied bid is invalid so it doesn't count.

 

2)  You didn't hold the highest bid before the final 5, I did.  Therefore you can't announce that you want to have final 5 bidding on a player.  That goes to the person with the highest bid prior to the final 5.

This is correct. The only "grace period" was for deciding whether or not you wanted to match if you got outbid in the final 5. The final 5 and closing have been strict.

To clear things up. To do a final bid after the bidding period you have to be winning before berad said "final five" and then get outbid in the last five minutes. Any bid after berad says "over" are invalid. Those people who were winning and subsequently outbid in those final five minutes are meant to say "I want to bid on x player" before 7.05.

Throughout the process we have allowed a grace period on the I want to bid On said player posts because it turned out five minutes was too Harsh. 15 is probably more appropriate moving forward

The only reason I went after him is because Walter Thurmond III bid got to high. I was surprised to see how much change people had to spend. Dang.
