you can't, I was winning him before the final 5. I bid two posts before berad said final five

So, wait.. I was winning him for hours before the "final five" and you come in just before and bid on him and then I continue to the bidding war up until time is up and I can't bid again?

He was barely too late and I'm pretty sure we gave a little leeway on linebackers

no leeway, the rules are clear, you have to have the bid in before it's closed

I wish to bid on Tarrell brown

You don't get final 5 rights.  I had him entering the final five and then you bid in the final 5 at the same I did.

Question: Why was was KDUBBS bid on Chris Cook invalid--I had the highest bid before but bid again just in case at a higher level

Wasn't it the same as your old one.

i was winning him over the half the day until you bid, what's your point? I was winning him before final five, I then ended up winning him, outbidding your counter again. If you didn't want me to win Verner all you had to do was look at my cap space, and just outbid what I could afford, but you bid an amount, I could outbid, which I did in the dying moments

If someone bids on a player before the final 5 starts, you have to get in the highest bid by the end or you don't have rights to bid on him.

What? I bid on him during the final 5. So I have a chance to bid on him.

I was within seconds of it.. That seems a little ridiculous. You squeeze bids in right before the final 5 and the final bid and I can't even have an opportunity?

You bid 5 stars, which was already the bid on him.

Linebackers "had a grace period"

See, that's what I thought.. if it's going to be allowed once, it needs to be allowed again. Need to have consistency within the game.

I know but I still made an attempt to bid on him. I'm on mobile so I didn't know

I agree. We allowed a grace period linebackers (go check), so he should be able to bid

Linebackers "had a grace period"

they had a grace period to say I want to bid on x y z. They didn't have a grace period to bid before the 7 est deadline, your barking up the wrong tree, when berad says bidding over, every bid thereafter is invalid. I was leading on Verner before the final 5 not Clint, thus he has no option for a final PM bid. It would have been my option, but I ended up winning verner

No my old bid on Cook was 1 star--he bid 1.5-- I guess I win for 2.5 stars, just clarifying

I had the understanding the grace period was for the contested bids being sent in after rather than the main bidding process.

This.  The grace period is from 7-7:05 where you can announce that you'd like to bid again.

Sorry about that.  I must have been thinking of someone else.

You have to outbid him.

Yep.

Agreed with arnie_uk. The grace period was meant for the posts saying that GM A wants to bid on Player A. The initial bidding line is not subject to change and is always final.
