Twitch Plays Pokemon

7 posts in this topic

Unless all of you guys have been under a rock for the past 2 weeks, you have probably heard of Twitch Plays Pokemon. The idea is that when someone types a command into Twitch's (streaming site) chat box, the command then controls the player in the game. At one point, over 100k people were on at once controlling Red. I started watching around day 4 and it was been a wild ride, I witnessed a birth of an incredibly detailed religion, made friends, lost friends (RIP Abby, Jay Leno, Digrat, X Cabbage, Keeper, and DUX) and got to be a part of history. After 16 days, 7 hours and 45 minutes, we managed to beat our rival Blue and beat the Pokemon League. And at 7am EST we will begin playing a 2nd generation game (the creator has yet to say which title specifically). This has such a solid and great fanbase, so join in if you want!

I unfortunately missed when they beat Blue. But I know they played through the elite four about 10 times before beating it, so the main two Pokemon (Zapdos and Pidgeot) where overpowered like crazy. I did get to see ATV the destroyer of dragons wreck Lances Dragonite though.
