I've seen countless mock offseasons and projected depth charts and have seen little to no mention of Kapron Lewis-Moore. I remember him being a very talented player in college and loved that we took a flyer on him in the 6th round last year given his injury. With Arthur Jones almost certainly leaving in free agency, I think he will have a great oppertunity to compete for playing time on the interior of our line. Does anyone have any have any information on his health status? Go Ravens!

He's a lot like Arthur Jones in the fact that he would have been a much higher pick if it hadn't been for injury. Excited to see what he can do. He was a beast at ND.

I don't think people have forgotten about him, but when looking at the team next year, I don't think any of us know what he can offer.  We haven't seen anything from him, so it's kind of hard to count on him to be the replacement for Art.  If the team feels comfortable, so do I, but no one has any indication that's the case, so we have to assume that DE is still a hole, albeit not a big one.

He is an unknown who will compete with Tyson for the job. I like what he can bring to the table and I honestly think both of those guys can do well on the D-line. I guess we will see how he has developed once camps roll around but I like them both.

There was a brief discussion of him in the season-end press conference and he was included in the rookie review:

Defensive Tackles are rotational players, we can never have enough.

Two potential fits in free agency are Paul Soliai and Red Bryant.

I like his potential. Long, strong, and athletic. Very high ceiling, if he recovers from the ACL. This guy has big potential in my opinion.

Also, he's another guy I think could be unleashed more in a 4-3. I feel like he'd be better as a 4-3 three tech than a two gapper in the 3-4.

By the time he develops into a decent starter he'll be hitting free agency.

Kapron made Te'o in college football. That injury is a distant past now, I think he'll do great for us.

Definitely would be great to get him some reps in preseason and see how he feels. Hopefully he recovers fully and can provide us some depth at DE or even start there. I think he can at least be a solid backup this year and next year take over. We need another guy though I feel this year just as insurance

I don't think anyone has forgotten him, but when a guy has an injury that sidelines him for the entire next season, especially the season he's supposed to be transitioning to the NFL, then there really should be zero expectations for him.  I'm not saying he will bust, but plenty of healthy options have in fact busted, so what we have is a guy who's essentially going into his rookie year after redshirting, and nobody has a clue how his skill set will actually transition to the next level until he gets on the field.  In essence, a complete unknown - he could be better than Jones, he could be worse than Dan Cody, we just don't know.  So the smart thing would be to act like we can't count on him, fill the position, and the worst thing that happens is that we have 2 really good players and surplus talent at one position.

I like his potential, but I also really like what I saw from Tyson. I'm not sure any guy could be counted on to bring what Art has the past two seasons, but as rotational guys I think they'll definitely help. I'm really interested to see how Tyson develops with seemingly more responsibility. I'd definitely still look to add talent to the Dline through the draft or FA. Ngata is no longer a all game performer imo, so we'll need a guy who can rotate in with him and maybe even be aable to taake over for him in the next 2 years.

We sure could use a break of some sort.  It'd be really nice if he was a phenom waiting to happen.

The issue here is the belief that almost ALL players from Notre Dam are vastly over-hyped and over-rated due to the media machine. "The Fighting Irish"...right....lol

was there any doubt at all that undefeated team was going to get dismembered by Alabama?....Absolutely none.

This fan has a lot of hope that John Simon becomes a pass rush specialist. It'll be hard for him to get in, but if he develops that would be awesome.

<p>John Smith of Titanic lore did not board a lifeboat Ozzie. A Captain that has blundered does the honorable thing. He goes down with his ship.

Last years draft in the middle rounds was more about the stuffing and developing players for 2014 and behind. He was likely a 2nd-3rd rounder before injury. The same as Arthur Jones was. I expect Juice, Simon and Moore to contribute this year.

I'm a big fan of Tyson too. I think he could develop into a very talented player. Tyson and KLM are two young guys that will really help the team.

He has had two serious knee injuries the past two seasons he played so who knows how he will play when its game time. Anything we get from him will be a bonus, I hope he succeeds but im not planning for him to do much.
