I think he started playing better in 10.  Good game against the Chiefs and everything that could go wrong against the Steelers seemed to happen, so I don't blame him for that loss.  Rice fumbled, bad snap then a dumb pick.  Boldin dropped a td and Housh dropped a perfect 4th down pass.  Anyway, did Joe win a SB his second season?  Lead his team to the #1 seed?  How about one of the highest passer ratings?  Isn't Wilson doing this all while playing in arguable the best defensive division in the league?

These aren't career rankings, they are what you did that season.  What Wilson did that season was good and a lot better than Joe.  Wilson rarely played with his whole o line, but no one is mentioning that.  He rarely played with his full arsenal of weapons and that's rarely brought up.  He still made it work and kept his turnovers down.

I forgot about '10. Just kinda gets outshined by Flacco's play in Foxborough. The Steeler's game was a rough one I try not to remember. Aside from the interception, he did what he needed to do for the Ravens to win. I think they would have beat the Jets the next week, too. Anyway...

Wilson had the 7th best passer rating. Cool. Isn't Tony Romo like top five or three in career passer rating? Yeah, why don't we talk about him being one of the best?

I would hardly say he lead them. Look at the blowout games. Second game of the season against the 49ers he completes 8 passes and they win by 21. Game against the Vikings he throws 13 completions and they win by 21. The list goes on, but I'm too lazy to check again. The point is, he's just asked to not make mistakes.

Yeah, the defenses are tough, but in the regular season, he threw for more than 200 yards once in six games in the division (twice in seven if  you count the playoffs). Admittedly, he doesn't make mistakes in those games, but he's not asked to go sling the ball around and win the game. He's asked to just make the easy throws to move the chains once Marshawn Lynch sets it up on first down.

I'll give it he was missing his offensive line a lot of the time, and he was missing Percy Harvin, but it's not like Harvin was a player he had great chemistry with and would sorely miss. He still had Kearse, a starter from the year before, and Golden Tate and Doug Baldwin, two major contributors from the season before.  He had a good supporting cast, especially with Lynch and that defense.

Flacco might have had a terrible year last year, but I think he is better than the 27th ranked QB in the league, don't you think? He may not have been top 12 last year, but 27th? Come on! Did they forget he is amongst the highest paid QB in the league and also a SB MVP?

Also, he would be #1 as the most disrespected QB in the league. He has never made a pro bowl in his life, it is astonishing that there is such disparity between the league fans perception of him and the Ravens' organization's. The Ravens made him the highest paid QB in the league, but if it was upto the fans' of the league, he wouldn't have made more than $8M a year...

I think it just boils down to his stats in the regular season. If he has to change perception of him, then he needs to put up stats like other elite QBs and never have a season of more INTs than TDs...

I might've made you're point, but you just made mine as well.  That is all.  Why is it hard for people to get that.

Joe is a veteran qb and more should be expected when comparing a guy in 6th year to a guy in his 2nd.  I would also say, Joe had a better offense in his SB year than Wilson did.

Maybe so, and Joe's post-season stats reflect that. And the Seahawks had a far better defense.

And this is what's wrong with fans. Everything has to be fantasy stats. He still is the only ever quarterback to win a playoff game for five straight years to open his career (or make it to the playoffs) and had the most wins through the first five seasons. I don't know about you, but that sounds about good to me.

So, you take Matt Ryan or Peyton Manning with their great regular season numbers, but losing playoff records (Matt Ryan also has AWFUL playoff numbers), and I'll take Flacco who excels in the playoffs as of late.

I'm gonna have to agree with this.  He is what he is though.  He wins games, doesn't practice or games. A Hard working Qb with lots of flaws. He might not ever be great at the position but if he doesn't grow anymore we have to agree that his game play right now, might be good enough for what we need.
