My response was mainly directed to Mr. Nobody. I agree. Too many penalties and too many drops. Plus, he just hasn't been the same since injury.

Ah, I see. Just wanted to make it know that it wasn't a shot. Exactly that. He hasn't been anywhere near the same player. I still feel like there's a chance of a return there somewhere, but if there's a less risky option available at a different position for the same salary, then it makes sense to cut him loose. If you don't mind me asking, however, were there no other lesser players on his team who could've stuck around? Perhaps you could've gotten a late pick in return instead.

I have 6 other WRs and I value all of them more than Britt. I wasn't confident I'd get a late pick in return, but regardless I wanted to make sure he was off the team before DB FA came to town. Need all the cap I can get.

I wasn't aware of that but either way I needed him off. No need to take more time to mull negotions for a late rounder when I can just cut him and not worry about it.
