Well yeah, Suggs is still extremely good against the run, even if he is declining a bit. It's not like he is a bad pass-rusher either, but it's never been the best part of his game.

Trent Cole at his best is an absolute fiend getting after the QB.

I don't get it either.  If 10 sacks, 14 hits, and 29 hurries is a bad year, I don't know what's good anymore.  Cole did worse his last year in the 4-3 (4, 13, 29).

They've both always been pretty complete edge players. Cole has probably been more consistent in his career but Suggs is the better player when dialed in IMO. Both can take over a game rushing the passer and both defend the run well.

I agree, it just seems like a lateral move to me and a slight down-grade to your pass-rush while also taking on salary. You are picking up Nelson though so if the extra salary is worth it to you it makes sense.

I'm not really taking much on considering I was able to shed the contract of James Casey, who had very little role in my offense and a 4 star hit.

He was playing hurt in 2012 which explains those numbers.

I forgot about that.  Regardless, he's 10+ sack guy, can never have too many of those.

Yeah, well, now he's a Bengal. Like they need more pass-rushers lol.

Knowing I had an offer available for Suggs, I knew I could make a move to upgrade at safety, which this team has needed since Dawkins retired. I saved space, got a 3rd, got a great FS, and got a basically equal player in my two deals.

Well you didn't save space, but the rest makes sense.

Nobody, are you using your special cut/trade on Ngata?

Make sure you're marking that as June 1st or something to everyone else, so we know what the heck you're doing.

yes i did that, gabe said in the rules thread that the free cap hit cut/trade is post june only, sorry i'll make it clearer in the morning

in the initial announcement thread i had it all in a question(s) post addressed to gabe

You're right, I was taking into account a trade that fell through in my assessment. Still, the net result was only a loss of .5 in cap space and I think I improved my team, so I'm happy with it.

So do we add in comp picks when they are announced, or not?  I'm not in line for any, but I'm curious.

Anyone know a good site for official rosters and depth charts? I am getting a few different things with everything I read. Tampa Bay's official website doesn't have a depth chart.

Steelers trade Block:

Mike Adams, T (0.5)

Ike Taylor, CB (7)

Troy Polamalu, S (8.5)

Larry Foote, LB (1.5)

Also may Tag and Trade Emmanuel Sanders if you want a shot at him before all the crazy cap people get a chance

It says in ERFA on Spotrac for the Bucs that McDougald is an ERFA for 2014 but when I click his bio it says he is making .5 stars this year and he is a 2015 ERFA
