So, is the goal of this game to build up an 11 man starting offense, and 11 man starting defense, the 3 specialists, and the one additional pick since there's a 26th round?

 

Essentially, I'm just trying to field a starting lineup with no backups?

Basically. It's actually quite fun though despite how simple it sounds. You start of with a blank slate, and can decide schemes as you go.

I think you are posting in the wrong thread, but essentially yes.

 

I was adamant last season that you don't need to pick certain positions, like punter and kicker, and I would like to keep it that way.

For sure. I wouldn't call quits just yet though. The difference between these teams is that you still have Brandon Marshall and a potent running game. It helps to also have a very good TE and generally solid pieces on the OL, alongside of a QB with starter upside.

Yeah I've just had a rough go of this lol.  Thomas tearing his ACL, Henderson continually screwing up (who I took the risk on before I knew Thomas tore his ACL), Mettenberger providing a diluted sample, and now Gordon possibly being suspended for the year.  I'm picking up purely safe options next year lol.

Oh, yes. I forgot about the diluted sample. That's rough. You couldn't have accounted for almost any of it, and in most cases, it's solely based on luck.

I don't know, I am bored so I might look into getting some power rankings together and posting them in a couple days. I might even get a complete breakdown of the teams or something but it will depend on how much time I have.

Just a thought, but would it be too early to look at expressions of interest for next year's version? I could be interested, and it could make for a more interesting upcoming season if at least a few teams were allocated before everything begun.

We have a sign up thread once the Super Bowl is done so if you want to join in, just say that you want to join in that thread. Sometimes stuff happens in life so it is probably a little far out still to say if you are interested yet although I am sure that if a lot of people have the time, they will join as well. Just make sure to say you want to join when they post the sign up thread and you should be in good shape, kinda like for Draft a Franchise.

 

 

Also for my evaluations, I will be going off the depth charts posted so if you haven't posted a depth chart, I won't be able to evaluate your team. I have already had to figure out my depth chart from when I took over from freckle since he had nothing posted there(even had the cap # wrong in the SoF as well). I don't have the time to go reconstruct someone's roster just so I can evaluate it so if one isn't posted, I am not going to waste my time. Just letting everyone know what I am going off of, thanks.

Not really lol but I have seen your team already, very solid throughout except one certain position that I am sure you know about.

Yeah, my LB corps is quite bad.

 

Of my 90 players on the roster, only 12 were on the Jaguars last year I think, so I definitely had the most turnover.  My plans at LB just never worked out (Russell Allen retiring due to injury and losing Lance Briggs at the last minute in FFA).

Make your own thread.  That is what people did last year and it makes it easier to keep track of the conversation.
