so it is all good for you to trade but not for me, hmmm

did you see the cap save for ngata and the picks value i got in return?

how about getting a first and second for jimmy who only had one good year?

Ngata and Suggs were smart trade moves. Jimmy was a bad trade in my opinion especially with Webbs injury history

Jimmy has always shown potential and was really solid in his rookie year, but he couldn't stay healthy. Getting the last pick in the first round (essentially a second rounder) likely will not net you a day one starting cornerback. The trade was fine with me. I got my favorite player and a much needed cornerback.

Broncos actively shopping Chris Clark (starting LT), Chris Kuper, Jacob Tamme, and Joel Dreessen for draft picks.

Also reluctantly shopping Von Miller for possible high draft picks (several), or a can't pass up offer of players.

While I have mixed feelings on the Smith trade, corner is one of the deepest positions in this class. He could find a potential starting caliber corner in any of the earlier rounds.

We just know how the struggles are. The one corner that I think he could get in the late first/early second is Kyle Fuller. Call me a homer, but he's a great young cornerback.

i was torn too, as i always had jimmy in my fantasy teams and wanted us to draft him back then, but now i got 5 picks within the first 63 to help me retool

yep, he'll be one option lol; happy jimmy went to somebody who appreciates him

Could find potential is the key phrase here. He gave up a very good proven NFL CB with upside. Its not even like it cleared a lot of cap room. Its just a nonsensical trade.

It was a fine trade for me

Jaguars Trade Block:

QB Blaine Gabbert (2 stars) -- Anything

Can I have Blaine Gabbert for free? He'd be my franchise quarterback of the future

In this game yes. If they didn't feel like he merited the contract he's going to want after the season and wanted to get something back for him, it would make sense. It's the same logic as the potential Torrey trade talks.

Will your offensive line keep his glass bones intact?

Veldheer, Wisniewski, and Stewart are all great pass blockers. I still have two holes tho

I'll trade him a Ham AND Cheese sandwich, and a piece of bubble gum for Blaine Gabbert.

Beat That!

Franchise Tag:

Jairus Byrd, S, 7 Stars

The tag costs 8.5 stars for him as he was tagged last year.  120% of 7 is 8.4 so 8.5 stars.

Kansas City is looking to move up in the draft. Additionally, Kansas City would like a FS. Also when is the date for cut/franchise tag etc...

Well yeah, but this isn't real life we are talking about.

You already have a good line.... You need a guard and that's it really. With 50+ you'll get Mack back.

You're betting the bank on Brock....

What you need really is to retool most of the members of the secondary

Yeah my secondary is kind of weak.  Haden is obviously good and I've franchised Ward so that's 2 of 4 settled at least.  I like Skrine and McFadden a lot but they're 3rd CB type guys.

I have a pretty nice core.  I just have to put the pieces in place.  There's a lot banking on Brock, but if he gets what I'm hoping to acquire/sign/draft, he should be golden.

Anyone have a slightly overpriced #1/2 CB (not Ike Taylor) that they're willing to move for a mid to late round pick?

Both Cary Williams and Bradley Fletcher are available.

ohh well, knew that every move i would make will get scrutinised; actually i much prefer it this way, as y'all care about our team and i'll learn from your input

gabe is right, this isn't real life, but we're playing like we want it to be, thus the forward thinking too; no way the ravens would be able to keep both jimmy and torrey next season, but that's for a different day

so let me come out and say that the main purpose of the jimmy trade was to get the franchise FS, but the owner of that birdie (pun intended lol) wanted the skin and bones out of me so i'm keeping the picks and go for the best five players i can find in the draft to cover at WR, TE, DL, CB and FS - while also looking at FA with the current cap space of 19.5

I would agree there are better options than Ike Taylor. Just doing my job to sell a player who had one rough year and is older with a price tag. I must say it's a hard sell

Probably doesn't help that he's a steeler either...
