I'm really comfortable with that range.  Feels fair to both sides.

Sounds like Monroe is going to settle because no team is going to offer outside of what we're offering him. He's a great LT but he's not worth 10 million a year. I'm glad it's looking like we'll end up keeping him.

It's collusion!

Maybe.  It was suspected last year in the pass rusher market.

I hate to say this, but Al Davis being gone has really changed the NFL.

Saw the Bucs are negotiating with Anthony Collins so there is their LT.

Riskiest of the bunch, IMO, but probably will come the cheapest because of his lack of experience compared to the others.

Some contract numbers that are interesting to know. This is speculation from Rotoworld but it could be telling........

Per the report, Tampa would pay Collins $6.5 million to $7 million per year.

The Baltimore Sun reports the Cardinals are expected to sign free agent LT Jared Veldheer to a contract worth $7 million to $7.5 million per year.

I hope this isn't true, Saffold for 8M a year is a joke.

You can always count on Aaron Wilson.

I generally consider him a solid source, but this type of thing is beyond anyone's ability to get a true read on. For example, from Aaron Wilson on Mar 7th ... just 2 days ago:

With the divide contractually and the money that other NFL teams are expected to pay for Eugene Monroe, unlikely he returns at this point

So, I was getting close to writing him off ... now this report. I just don't know how I can feel anything but that this thing could go either way.

If Veldheer is going for 7.5 mil per, then the Ravens had better be in on the bidding because that is a nice deal for him and he fits our scheme.

So, the Dolphins and Albert are pretty much a done deal.  It sounds like Veldheer will be moving to Arizona.  Collins and the Bucs are close as well.  The Raiders are said to be close with Saffold, but a report just came out that they reached out to Monroe tonight after learning that Veldheer is likely gone.

That's scary, considering their cap room.

Yeah that throws a wrinkle in things.  It sounds like Saffold may be their guy, though.

Aaron Wilson is probably the most credible source for ravens information outside the team announcements.  I think we're all seeing that the market has changed, if this is true.

Where did you hear the Monroe blurb? I would rather have him than Saffold 10/10

but if i'm monroe i'm not going to the raiders they suck! so you rather be paid 10 mill on a team going nowhere than a team just coming off a SB win!!!! yeah that makes total sense for monroe.

Saw it on Twitter.  Someone from SI I believe.  I'm on mobile or I'd look it up.

I was going to say the same for Collins. Man does Monroe asking for $10M a year sound stupid now considering how much less the other top LTs are getting.

I did a twitter search and may have been a mistake. The raiders beat meant "Ravens"

also news just in saffold just told the rams hes' not resigning with them meaning he on his way to the raiders or the bucs but it looks lie the raiders.

Free agent G/T Rodger Saffold informed the Rams on Sunday that he won't be re-signing.

Saffold is expected to sign with either Tampa Bay or Oakland. The Raiders are the favorites with reports indicating they're offering Saffold a whopping $8 million per year. Before free agency, we would've said Saffold "did well" if he landed a contract worth $6 million annually. The Rams have an awful lot of work to do on the offensive line. They badly wanted Saffold back to play guard.

Yeah I am very surprised they are getting paid this low. Also Veldheer apparently got offered 11 mil per to stay in Oakland so Arizona getting him that cheap would be a steal.

Just about to hit that, I saw it was a mistake.  Should've known, that's a ridiculous amount of money, even for the Raiders.

It was $55 over six years, but I heard those reports were false

i know right they never offered anything to him thats why he wants to leave. he though they wanted him but after the tag date went by they did nothing for him so no steal that's what he is worth 7.5 to 8 million yes!

I hope Oher is gone too, but Harbs fielding him because he's one of "his guys" is far from the case.  When we had better tackles on the roster, they were lazy, unmotivated or injured (McKinnie, Gaither).  Not much choice but to field Oher.

Wagner, a mid round rookie played better when given the opportunity, thats how awful Oher was last season. He should have been benched.
