I just think any time you do  midday on a weekend, you eliminate a lot of people.  I know I spend pretty much all weekend doing the stuff I wish I could do during the week, and I'm sure a lot of other people are the same.

 

That's primarily why I proposed the random order.  We're never going to get 32 people at the same time, so why not give everyone an equal shot?  That's just my opinion.

 

I don't see a problem with that at all. You are right, time zones and "busy" are no longer problems when doing random generator. It's FAIR for absolutely everyone.

Only people that should get upset over a number generator are the ones that have a huge advantage when it comes to internet speed. I have amazing internet, but I understand that's not exactly fair.. it's a risk and I get some people may not get their teams as a result, but it should be the way to do it.

BTW this site http://www.random.org/sequences/ will give us what we want. Just enter 1 as the lower limit and 32 as the upper limit.

If we are doing the randomized order of draft why does a start time even matter? It will be just like drafting players. I say we just start it whenever and get this show on the road.

No one misses a deadline based on time zone.

As you said, the con list is the same you'll have with first come first serve.  I think a random makes the most sense.

So we aren't doing the generator and draft? If we were doing it that way then why would we wait til Saturday? Once we get the order we should start right away and everyone should be given 24 hours to pick a team.

Always randomize 5 times.  It's an unwritten rule to randomizers lol.

I'm actually in favor of the random draft, although I guess that I'll be one of those lucky guys at the end of the draft lol

Doesn't that kinda defeat the purpose of it? Maybe a 6 hour window for the picks instead of 24, but there shouldn't be a problem with team selection taking a while since the CoCo is still gonna take that time to work out the rules anyway and people are going to take time for their state of the franchise pages.

You still get to pick your team if it happens.  We're hopefully just randomizing an order and then we "draft" a team of our choosing of whatever is left.

I'm doing it or one of the members of the Coco is doing it. ..... I'm not even rigging this one. I'm not a top 5 pick like I wanted to be and probably won't end up with the team I want lol........

Definitely don't rig anything.  It defeats the purpose of randomizing the list.

No, the purpose is to take the randomness of fast typing/internet speed out of the equation,  but I do suppose we could allow a longer period. We will discuss.
