They were my #1 last year but Dubs stole them. They still have my favorite roster in the NFL but I don't see the fun in picking the SB champs, there is nowhere to go but down.

Trade discussions have been taking place through PM but shouldn't be public until everyone has a team. After everyone has picked, one of the CoCo will post a thread where we can post trades.

I have been talking to SAM about it and most of it is pretty straight forward. For teams trading players away, the math is basically the same as a cut. Cap Figure - Dead Money = Cap Space Saved. It's a little trickier when talking about trading for a player but I think the idea is that whatever the cap space saved by the team trading that player away is what the receiving team absorbs against its cap. I am still trying to figure out how it works for receiving a player with more dead money than cap figure though.

Marcedes Lewis (one of my players) for Phillip Rivers (one of your players)

 

Lewis cap #s: 8,250,000 cap figure and 2,800,000 in dead money

Rivers cap #s: 16,666,667 cap figure and 4,533,334 in dead money

 

Trading Lewis would free 5.5 stars for me (rounded from 5.45)

Trading Rivers would free 12 stars for you (rounded from 12.133333, three keeps repeating)

 

Trading for Rivers would add 12 stars to my cap

Trading for Lewis would add 5.5 stars to your cap

 

Therefore, I would add 6.5 stars to my cap (12 stars added minus 5.5 stars saved)

You would save 6.5 stars to your cap

To my understanding you are free to chose whenever you want. But the longer you wait the less options you get.
