Dont know if anyone posted this yet but its some good insight on Kubiak that should be encouraging. Any chance we can pick up Winston?

if he's cheap enòugh he's a great zbs right tackle and will really help open our options for the draft

In a Interview with WNST he said if Arizona doesn't sign him back He would love to reunite with Kubak in Baltimore.

Not a huge fan of former head coaches hired in specialist roles, mainly because it's always a short term bandaid solution.

Ravensfan23 addressed that a couple of pages back. Rick Dennison's probably going to be the next man up when Kubiak gets a HC gig again.

Thats great news! All people see is Arizona's terrible line and that he was a part of it so he would be another one of those typical ozzie moves if it can be done.

I for one am very happy and relieved to be dead wrong Castillo is not going to be Oc.  I like Kubiak and think he's just what we need .

Very happy with how this turned out. A bit shocked to see Dennison as QB coach, but hey, it'll be aight. He's been around a long time and Kubiak is there to have it his way.

I think it will be that Kubiak is the one who works the most with Joe. He mentioned multiple times that he was thrilled to be able to teach again.

I hear ya, but given Kubiak's recent health concerns and his tone at the press conference, it seems, at least for the present, he is much more comfortable as an OC than a head coach.

Da Boss: I know nothing!!

Ozzie called me late Friday night, thats all I know. He told me John had decided at last consideration to add Kubiak into the mixture. Before you know it, John and Gary come into Ozzies office, roaring drunk singing the Ravens fight song together and ask if they can play beer pong in Ozzie's office.....I gotta tell ya, I was kinda surprised, I was happy with Hostler as the apparent OC, and jeez, this just comes out of left field. But Ozzie and John, I have faith in them, especially Johns judgement when it comes to evaluating offensive coordinator candidates. I have no further comment until next season. Thank you.

Ozzie: What Da Boss said....word for word!

John: Keven Bryne told me to try really really hard to smile and be positive in public today. Gary is a swell guy and what they said.......oh and we looked under every single rock we could find.......many many rocks. Thats important to know in order for me to save some degree of dignity today. Oh and what they said.

this is the best thing we've ever done on offense since the last super bowl

Just to paraphrase what you said, this is the best thing we've done for the offense since drafting Joe Flacco!

It's also about having another OC-in-waiting who knows Kubiak's system if/when Kubiak leaves for a HC position.

Dennison's hiring is as much about the future as it is about what the team needs now.

Overall, I'm pleased with both hirings, mainly because they're both proven and neither uses the Air Coryell.

OR more likely, Kubiak takes Dennison as his OC. ;)

Dennis pitta, Anquan Boldin, Torrey smith?

All good moves.  But this I think will have a much greater and lasting impact, much like drafting Flacco.

Oh God, that happened in 2008! Great, now I'm all depressed.

I'm just glad we got an OL coach to be our QB coach.  It makes a ton of sense.  I bet Joe will be blocking like a champ!

I don't get that move at all but it could be worse, we could switch the o - line coach to the defensive cord. and then run that wide 9 defense. Wait, I think that already happened with Don Juan in philly!

I am excited about the arrival of Gary Kubiak, I think he can have a really positive effect on our offense. The great thing for me about this hire is that we are pretty much committing ourselves to running the football next year and that is something I really wanted us to do. Kubiak's offense in Houston was built upon the running game and frequently using play action to open up the passing game, that is a formula that I think can work really well for us.

I wasn't that excited by the prospect of having Kyle Shanahan or Jim Hostler as offensive co-ordinator so to pull Gary Kubiak out the bag at the last minute has really brightened my day. I feel more optimistic about next season already.

Nice job, John Harbaugh.

The offense is looking up! Finally.

I realize Kubiak wants control and can sometimes be a bit too fond of the running game, but I really have high hopes for our offense. As for the hire itself, it seems Harbs legitimately wanted Hostler or Shanahan but I believe Steve stepped in and set him straight.. thank the lord.

Now, this needs to be an offensive draft/ FA period. Get a solid guard, resign Monroe and a RT. Priority needs to be signing Pitta and finding a possession receiver in the draft, maybe trade up if necessary.

OR more likely, Kubiak takes Dennison as his OC. ;)

Or more likely the Ravens deny Kubiak permission to take Dennison and promote him to OC. I think there is a reason he'll be the QB coach. Also the Ravens are a smart organization, if Kubiak's name starts to buzz I don't think they'll just allow all the guys who help build this offense to just walk out the door. There will be far too many coaches who will be able to teach this system, QB, WR, TE and RB coaches will probably be added and allow will bring be able to teach and run this offense in some type of capacity. So we'll have a OC in place should Kubiak get a HC job next year.

Also remember Dennison was getting some buzz this time last year as a HC candidate, so even if he is promoted to OC next year, it might only be a one year thing. I think we'll see some young coaches added as position coaches or offensive assistants to learn this system from Kubiak.

I just hope this doesn't mean there wont be any no huddle or sugar huddle in which Joe Flacco excels at or also mean less control of the offense by Flacco.

I think one thing that is going to be underrated with Dennison is he a Former O-line coach so he teaches how to make calls at the line for the center and the rest of the O-line and help them block which he will help Flacco with the right checks and audibles and O-line adjustments that he needs to make in game. i think thats one way Dennison can really help out flacco Greatly!

remember when Ravens Owner told John not making the playoffs again changes would happen as in John getting fired, this is why this is happening all this changing.

From what I get, Kubes wants to give his QB as much as he can handle. Even though it's a run heavy offense, the QB is what seperates it from being good to great. I don't know this for sure, but it seems that the QB has a lot off freedom and control in the offense based on if he can handle it. I've never been a fan of Schaub at all and always though the key to stopping that offense was to put the game in his hands. I think Kubes and Joe will work so well together. This year didn't do much to prove it, but Flacco is a much better decision maker then Schuab. As Kubes said Joe is a winner and I don't think he'll take the game out of his hands.

I honestly think Joe will take this offense to the next level. Joe Flacco has the ability to take this offense and make it his. That's a scary sight imo, but that's something that will have to show up on the field, not on paper.

Yea that's a great point. I just made the comment of Joe having the ability to really own this offense. That's one of the ways I think this offense can be taken to the next level. I've always felt there was a disconnect with how we blocked things up front and our pasing game. That should clear up now.

This will be an amazing staff if we get it done:

Offensive Coordinator - Gary Kubiak

Quarterbacks - Rick Dennison

Running Backs - Bobby Turner

Tight Ends - Brian Pariani

yes Bobby Turner is a great RB coach he would be awesome along with the ravens already hiring of Pariani.
