I Think Ryan Clark is Becoming a Good Analyst

I like Suggs' appearances better :)Sherman and T-Sizzle really give it to Skip on First Take and I love it. BTW, I don't care how the song goes. "every word {is not} great." First Take is like the Jerry Springer Show of ESPN. It can be over the top ridiculous at times, but for some reason I feel compelled to tune in and watch it. I'd like to admit I do not watch it, but I'd be lying through my teeth. Ryan Clark is well spoken, I don't always agree with him, but he makes rational arguments that seem well thought out to defend his opinions.

I hated the sherman interview. It was a personal attack on skip and i thought skip was still trying to help the young man be more appealing to endorsements. I will never forget it because sherman acted like he was better than everybody because he made it to the NFL and went to stanford and how he was more successful in life because of it. The truth could be said that skip is more successful in his field than sherman is, anybody can hate that statement but its true, he made it so far that now he has his own show and still writes pieces on topics of his choice.....everything I heard sherman say negative about skip, I felt about him....Suggs gives it to him in a debating way...man to man, that's a real debate between smart man.

For the record, Suggs has personally attacked Skip also. He called him something that I just won't type on here. I do not think Skip actually likes Suggs in the least and only has him on because it makes good ratings. Sherman was a jerk to Skip, I agree 100% but I am human. I have to admit, that even though I don't really approve of that type of disrespectfulness, it just felt good to see someone really give it to Skip because of all the Raven hating and disrespecting of Joe that he spews.

Do two wrongs make a right? No, but as a Ravens fan doesn't some part of you smile a little when he gets a taste of his own medicine? I know deep down I should take the high road and as Jules said in Pulp Fiction, "I am trying real hard to be the Sheppard," but right now I still want to throw something at his face on my TV every time I hear the word "Fluko."

I didn't care to much for Sherman's approach to Skip however, I understood where it came from!

Skip has a way of getting under your skin by throwing personal shots at you in his comments.  He did that with Sherman in previous shows.  He also did that to Chris Bosh.  He called Bosh...."Bosh Spice".  Implying that Bosh was both soft and a female!  When Bosh corrected him on that face to face and told him how important his family name was; Skip again said; "I'll keep calling you Bosh-Spice until you play better or more aggressive" (or something of that magnitude....it's on youtube).  So when cats give it to Skip....I love it!

Back on topic: Clark is doing his thing on ESPN.  Good for him!

I reckon Mark Cuban is the proud owner of the best takedown of Skip. He was so articulate and attacked Skip's business model without mercy, without delving into any personal attacks.

Also, don't call me Chris. ;)

Yeah I've definitely warmed up on him. He was just discussing how free agency has been treating him on Sportscenter which I thought was pretty cool.

Clark's a mediocre analyst at best nothing stands out.

ESPN does have some goos analysts but Clark doesn't bring anything special compared to some of the other analysts

Okay!  It's an off season topic.  I can't stand the steelers...ugh! But I have to admit that I'm really enjoying watching Ryan Clark as a analyst on ESPN with First Take and then Numbers Don't Lie.  I think that he is doing a good job.

I will admit I watch First Take. Sometimes I want to reach through the TV set and grab Bayless by his throat with all the Flacco talk but I will agree Ryan Clark is not bad as a commentator. When watching a program like that you try to take some of the entertainment factor into consideration instead of the lack of great journalism. Maybe I should spend my time in more productive ways but I make sure my responsibilities are taken care of first and my work schedule does not come into play at 10am.

I agree!  I love watching First Take.  I get my pure sports journalism from other shows and my entertainment factor while talking sports...from that show!
