I just don't see why the NFL doesn't adapt the World Football League approach to touchdowns - seven points for an unconverted touchdown, with the "Action Point" being run or passed - not kicked - from the two yard line.

 

This makes more sense to me - in fact, in my fictional pro football circuit, which I play out using the board game, "Second Season", i usually count the touchdown this way.
